And why?

I am so looking forward to this part of the cruise because I have never been to any kind of spa before!

Help me decide!

Let's hear your experiences!

The LT Oxygen facial. Loved it! Face felt as smooth as a baby's bottom! If you are a contact wearer, I would not wear them, though. I just felt uncomfortable.

The full body massage was good, but DH said he would rather of had the back / shoulder, since that was what bothers him the most.

Also, if you're a couple, try not to miss out on the surial. Where else are you going to have fun putting mud all over each other!:D

I love the Alpha Capsule. Did it on my last cruise last May and can't wait to do it again this May. Very relaxing and a great way to start the cruise!

Ahhhh, the spa...where do I begin?!?!
If forced to choose, I would be torn between the Absolute Face & Body (a combo massage and facial) and the seaweed wrap/massage (you are slathered in warm seaweed, wrapped like a baked potato, and then they top it off with a warm comforter and give you a scalp and foot massage while you baste. Then you shower off and get a regular massage). I do those two on nearly every cruise. Ladies Night is also great...it's like a mini version of the AF&B, combined with champagne and chocolates in the Rainforest afterwards (and they give you a foot massage while you sit in those heated tile loungers).
And of course for couples the surial can't be beat (wink, wink).
I am having spa flashbacks as I sit here, as hubby is taking a bath with the "synergies" he buys on the ship. They make the house smell like the spa....mmmmmm!

I like the Booster - it includes the hydrotherapy bath with the alpha capsule! I've had daily back pain for the last 5 years and for the two weeks following the booster - no pain! This is a VERY good thing! But an expensive treatment, don't you think? sorry, my back is hurting... must go on a cruise!

Erika,

I'll have to try the booster. I almost tried the hydrotherapy bath last time and to have it with the alpha capsule would be wonderful. Guess I've made up my mind what I want to ask for.

Barb-
Can you elaborate a little more on the two you chose as your faves? I've never been to a spa and plan on it this September. Just on the surface I see that the absolute face and body is 25 minutes longer than the seaweed massage, but for the same price. For some reason, though, the seaweed sparks my interest! I don't know why because I hate seaweed in the ocean! Are either of them full body? I've never had any kind of a massage so I don't really know how that works and yes, I mean when you turn over on your back!! You have to keep in mind that I am cheap with a capital C so I want to get my money's worth. So which do I go for - quality or quanity!?

I love the Alpha Capsule also.....and the Foot and Ankle massage.
I do these two every cruise. The AC is the only place that I can
get total relaxation by not having someone calling MOMMIE,
HONEY, PHYLLIS....get me this, can you do this, where is this...
there are no phones ringing, no dogs to walk...it is just total YOU
and relaxing.

I would do the AC every day if I could afford it.

It's a really hard call...the AF&B is a lot more relaxaing because you don't have to get up at all, except to turn over (yep, it's full body). You undress to your own comfort level, and if you are a newbie, you can let them know and they will go out of their way to make you feel comfortable. You are draped with sheets at all times. I almost always fall asleep during the facial.
On the other hand, although you have to get up from the seaweed wrap to shower off, I feel so wonderfully detoxified after that treatment because it really sweats you out. The seaweed mixture is sort of like a paste. You wear paper panties for that one. If I remember correctly, that one is just a back massage, plus scalp and feet. I think I like the AF&B just a bit better from a relaxation standpoint...the facial is out of this world!
I also tried something new on our last trip...a massage combined with reflexology. I love foot massages, so that was great, and it is a little cheaper than AF&B or seaweed.
