Tell me what's new and exciting for the DIS-Con!

I haven't been on the DIS much lately. My oldest son just graduated from college, so I've been spending most of my time cleaning my house, running errands, and preparing everything for the weekend. It's over now, and my company has gone home. Now, I can can back to the business at hand-the DIS convention. What's new? Have I missed anything? Time for a convention fix!

Welcome back to the DIS Con board

Man oh man can I relate to you. School was officially out for the summer as of yesterday. Now I can have some breathing room and time to get all pumped up again over the DIS Con.

The only new thing that you may have missed is that the newsletter will be ready soon and sent out to us. I personally can't wait.

There hasn't been too much going on in this board as of late, so with school out perhaps it will pick up a bit.

Not much action on this board as of late Guess I'll try to come up with a juicy subject to post about
Have a great Memorial Day Weekend.
I took my kids to see my Alumni parade in my hometown, then we went to the Dude Ranch nearby and they went horseback riding. We all had fun.

Ahhhhhh fresh posts....what a nice surprise!

We have plans for a BBQ tomorrow and then off to see Shrek..other than that I think we'll work in the yard.

Gee whiz, I'm trying to figure out how to post some pictures of the play production that two of my kids were in along with myself. I hadn't figured out how yet, but if anyone wants to pass a little time, go to this link and you can check out the pictures from the play. If you check out the pictures, go to the one named the Scraggs clan. I am the old woman w/ the straw hat, my son is the little boy in the grey short sleeved shirt in overalls right behind and next to me, and my daughter you can hardley see, see's right beside her brother in the back. Now you can see what a Scraggly family I'm from.

Okay, how do I CANCEL my reservation for the DIS-Con??? Those pics of Gerri and her family scared me off! No way can I go to a convention with the likes of you and your's.......JUST KIDDING!!!!

Thanks for the pics....the play looks like it was adorable..and very fun to watch. Does your DD have red hair Gerri???

I was casually scanning the posts, and saw your name and cancel in the same line! I almost had a heart attack! Then, I read further and saw you were just kidding!! I need to read more closely from now on! I'm so looking forward to meeting my DIS-Con Forum posting buddy and would have been so disappointed if you did cancel!

I sort of freaked myself out just writing that.....and then having to read it again made me feel sad.

Let's hope I never have to write that word (the 'C' word ) again!!!

My DD has dark brown hair. Her hair for the play was done up in dog ears. She wore overalls and a navy sleevless shirt in some of the scenes, and for the others she wore all black with a rope for her belt. She's somewhat shy and din't make her way to the front most of the time. Hmm, neither did my DS in the group scenes. But as you may know, I certainly made my grand entrences, exits and was a pretty noticable extra
