O.k. so we waited too long to book a trip for end of June beginning of July, BUTTT..... we could book for June 28 to July 3 and then July 5 to July 11th. Really wanted to stay for the whole 10-11 days but because of the July 4th holiday they are booked for those 2 days. So these are our choices:

Book it anyway and hope there is a cancellation and they can somehow let us stay for those 2 days

Book it anyway and then go somewhere else - hoping that there will be openings then.

Book it and book somewhere else for those 2 days and forget about disney for those 2 days.

what would you do?

Looks to me like you only need one day on the 4th not 2. I would book what you can, then keep calling to try to get the additional day. It should work out. We're still a couple of months out, somethings bound to open up.

I would book the dates you can get and keep trying!! Even if you can't get those middle dates, keep asking the front desk even after you arrive. A good friend of mine did something similar. He couldn't get the middle weekend of a two week trip no matter what he tried, but once he arrived they told him he could stay those middle nights.

Worse case scenario, you move into a hotel on 192 for a couple of nights.

I agree with Mike. Book it and keep calling to get the ressie finished up. Out of all the years we've been going to Disney, when we had to fill in dates, there has been only one time that we did not get what we wanted. But I might add that I have been such a pest that some of the operators knew my voice before they knew my name. Call them everymorning when they open ,(7:AM FL. time) and everyevening. Mr.:goofy:

Book what you can then keep calling and calling...If you don't go ahead book what you can get, you could lose that too. I would not delay booking what's available now.

Go ahead and book it, but book somewhere else for the other days. Everything books up for a holiday. Keep trying for the fort. You can always cancel later.

get those dates and someone will cancel...you just have to be really persistent;) and keep calling;)

book the dates and keep calling.. you can never call too much!! well maybe you can!! LOL

I they are using check in and out dates ( check in June 28 check out July 3 ) they would still need check in the third check out the fifth, to match up with there check back in on July 5=== 2 days, which is ironic because it took me two days to figure it out. I was thinking only one day..Either way ther suggestions stay the same,, call, call, call, call, call, call, call, call, call, call, call, call, call, call, call, call, call, call, call, call, and then you should probably think about calling again. I have read about people getting untouchable days by being persistant ( I believe one or two got easter weekend at the last minute ).

2Goofy was probably the first campers that WDW placed on the DO NOT CALL LIST.

Robinsnest49ers,

What type of site are you trying to get into?? I was just on the WDW site, and could get either a tent site (what I was looking for) or a full-hookup site through July 4. Just couldn't get for the night of July 4 or 5. :lmao:

We're still looking at what we're going to do for vacation. But I'm going to have to start pushing DH to make a decision, so I can get our sites.

Book it and keep calling! I have heard loads of people on here come back and say how it all works out. Good luck!

I would book the days you can get, and then call once or twice a day every day between now and then. I would also call around now to get reservations elsewhere for those 2 days. You could look for a campground either in the Orlando area or within a few hours if you want to visit someplace else, or you could try to book one of the resorts and keep your camper in the parking lot. I've been in this predicament a couple times (you'd think I'd learn). One time I had a backup ressie at Pop Century and once at another local campground, but I ultimately got my days at FW and was able to cancel my backup ressies. Just be persistent in calling back.

Yeah!!! we ended up booking it anyway and just called this morning and there was a cancellation so now we are booked in for the full time, we don't have to pack up and leave for 2 days. Thanks to everyone for their great advice and encouragement. Perserverance pays off. See you there.
