I am struggling with my AK Day!

How does this sound? I really want to do 1900 Park Fare for breakfast and have it booked on my MK day but I was considering doing CP instead. We are traveling with our 5pm dinner and on the deluxe plan. We are staying at the Contemporary.

Animal Kingdom Day -

Breakfast - 1900 Park Fare at 8am

Lunch - Tusker House at 11:20am

Dinner - Boma at 6pm

Too much food???

Currently, I have the Tusker House lunch booked as well at a 6pm ressie at Jiko.

HELP! Am I over-thinking this?

I don't think so, you would eat 3 meals at home right? Plus you will be doing lots of walking and you just eat what you want. It is essentially all paid for anyway, try new things, enjoy the restaurants, and have a good time. Some people act as though the deluxe dining is way to much but I think it is great. Usually after walking in the heat I am beat and a nice meal and some AC is a great way to refuel and re-energize to head back to the parks and have some more fun.

When are you going? What time does AK close that day?

Personally, I can't typically do more than one sit down meal a day. With your plan, you're leaving almost no time to tour the park. If you do an 8:00 PF ADR, you likely won't be done until 9:00. Factor in an hour to get to the park (bus only to AK, and the GF shares buses), so you're not there until 10:00. You have an hour, then it's time for lunch. That will take an hour, so now it's 12:30 when you're done eating. If the park closes at 5:00 (depends on your time of year) that gives you 4 1/2 hours to spend in the park. That wouldn't be enough for our family, especially if you want to catch both the Lion King and the Nemo show. Plus, I can't imagine doing a buffet for breakfast and then again for lunch, especially with only 2ish hours separating the meals.

I agree. Do you feel like you could spend all day with one break for TH lunch and then Jiko for dinner. Thought we could leave about 4:40pm and head to the AKL to explore a bit.
