I am thinking of ordering from garden grocer...but I am a little confused on how to do this or actually how it gets to my room...

We are staying at the BWV and plan to check in early and head to the parks for a full day.

Will Garden Grocer deliver to the resort even if I am not there to pick it up?

Will the resort hold my order? What if I have items that need to be refriged?

Will the resort deliver them to my room along with the luggage once the room is ready? Or will I have to pick up the luggage and the the groceries after a full day at the park?

Thanks much for the information!

Yes, they will deliver even if you are not there. The bell staff will refrigerate the items that need it. To do this, you need to pay ahead of time. You can do this online or by calling their contact number. You can even include the tip ahead of time if you are so inclined. You can add a comment to leave the order with the bell staff too.

Bell staff will deliver everything when you call them.

Note that you can choose when you want your items delivered within a 2-hour window. I have noticed that on Sundays the orders are delivered a bit earlier than requested, but this has rarely been a problem for us. Nevertheless, if you're unavailable, the items will be waiting for you.

We used them too. We were not at the hotel when they delivered (GG called me to ask if I would mind if they deliver an hour early since they were going to be at the resort already). The staff did regridg. everything cold and delivered our items to our room as soon as I called.

We have used them multiple times and have never had any problems. They leave it with bell services which does refrigerate the cold items. When you check in you just stop by and tell them to bring it on up.

We absolutley love garden grocer. Each time we have used them they have arrived when when they were scheduled to arrive, our orders have been perfect, and it has saved us a lot of money as we eat breakfast and most lunches at our resort...not to mention snacks and "adult beverages" . As others have said if you aren't in your room your order will be held at the desk and all items that need to be refrigerated will be. I wouldn't hesitate at all to use them...highly recommended. :surfweb:

This is nice to know as we are also going to order online for some necessities.

so I still a bit confused....when you say you have to pay do you mean pay garden grocer?? We dont need to pay the resort for anything....other than maybe a tip for the bell hop that holds the goods till we return do I have that correct?

We have used GG twice. On our last trip, we were picked up by DME and went straight to the parks. We didn't worry about our luggage or our food being delivered.

GG delivered our groceries to bell services while we were in the park and when we returned to our room, we called bell services to deliver to our room.

You pay GG for the groceries, for delivery, and a tip for your shopper when you place your order online. You only pay the resort for bell services. I believe there is a minimum order, $50. I think for a GG order. When we placed the order, we received a call from GG, letting us know they had received the order and if we wanted something additional, to call them.

It's all very easy. If you're going during a popular time, you may want to order a little early in order to secure a delivery time.

Yes, you go on-line, pay Garden Grocer, then tip bell services when they deliver. That easy.:goodvibes

In the end its all about convenience if you have a rental car its easier and cheaper to go to the closest Publix. We used them the last trip and it was an easy transaction even with some of my family members changing items after the original order. Bell services held the food because it was early but everything was fine (we bought over $300). I wouldnt hesitate to use them again.
