I am trying to decide if we should add this breakfast. It will be me and DH, the 5 boys, and my parents. This breakfast wasn't originally on my radar, but the P's really want to visit the Grand Floridian during their 3 day stay tagging along with us......so, I thought maybe we should eat while we're there? Yes, no? Just trying to kill 2 birds with 1 stone, that's all!!

I've heard the dinner characters are alot of fun, is the breakfast just as entertaining? How's the food on a scale of 1-10?? tia

I've done the bfast a few times and I've always really enjoyed it. I def think it's always fun to pop over to the GF cuz it's so pretty :-) I've had dinner there too adn while I LOVED the characters, teh food was just OK. The bfast food was much better in my opinion, but I think it's pretty hard to mess up bfast :) The character interaction has always been great there as well. Tigger got my less than disney enthused dad to get up and bounce w/ him and it was quite hysterical! Plus w/ Alice being kinda big right now I think it'd be fun.

I have to admit, I am not too keen on the Tigger/Pooh characters being there since we'll be eating at Crystal Palace that night for dinner. We're not huge Pooh fans, anyway.......but I thought the same thing about Alice!

Why don't you try Chef Mickey's for breakfast instead and do 1900 PF for Dinner w/ Cinderella and the crazy stepsisters. From everything I've read, people rave about the character interaction at the dinner. Then you won't be on Pooh and Tigger overload.

The stepsisters might make a big deal and smooch on the boys !!

I haven't done the dinner, so I can't compare it to that, but the breakfast is great. It's one character meal that I would definitely do again. The Mad Hatter is hilarious! He basically runs around acting like a fool the whole time. He was pulling dry fruit loops out of my son's bowl and flinging them at the kids at the next table. :rotfl: He had all of us cracking up.

It was definitely one of the best character meals we have done, and we've done most of them.

We ate there in November '09. The breakfast was hugely entertaining. We loved the Mad Hatter. He was yelling all sorts of stuff, flicking cheerios off spoons, etc. It was good before he showed up but he took it to a whole other level.

The other characters were all fluff, Alice, Mary Poppins, Pooh, and Tigger.

The food was fine. I'd say it was an average WDW buffet for B-fast.

We all enjoyed hanging out in the lobby, admiring the architecture, while waiting for our turn. The GF is gorgeous. Even our kids (8 and 5) really enjoyed it. My 5 (now 6 yo) requests to stay there, sigh.

We have ADRs here for our last day before we go home. We had done the dinner before and thought it was o.k. but decided to try the breakfast since it will have Mad Hatter, Alice, Pooh/Tigger (my personal faves). I am glad the breakfast at 1900 Park Fare has many good reviews. Can't wait to read more reviews.

We really enjoyed our breakfast here. It was the last morning of our trip and the Mad Hatter was hilarious. Of course i have pretty outgoing kids so that helped but there was a table of four adults next to us. When he arrived at the table only two of them were seated and the other two were at the buffet. The Mad Hatter climbed up on a chair ans started hollering "Bill....Lisa....Bill....Lisa.....you need to come back to the table here. We're all waiting for you and I won't be moving on to ALL these other tables til you get back. Now who wants Bill and Lisa to hurry back over here?" The crowd was laughing and cheering.

And the breakfast was tasty too. Loved the make your own omelets. Alice was quite gracious and my DS(13 at the time) seemed to really enjoy laughing and flirting with Mary Poppins. May need to cut back on him watching Super Nanny.

I vote yes, yes and yes. And have the Strawberry Soup!

Friends who just returned from WDW said the dinner buffet was mediocre at best and the dinner character inteaction was... meh...

It has been too long since we last had b'fast at 1900PF, probably around 8 years. At that time, I thought the food was a couple of notches better than other WDW buffets, but with the over-all decline in food quality in recent years this may no longer be the case. We love the characters--esp Alice & the Hatter and they were certainly top notch when we were last there. I'd love to try it again sometime, please let us know if you go and how you liked it.:earsboy:

We loved the dinner...good food and great characters. During dinner, DH was talking to the family next to us and that dad suggested breakfast there as well because he said the food was good and the Mad Hatter was nuts. So we're hitting them for breakfast and dinner on our trip next March.

I have two sons and we are thinking of trying this for the first time in September. We are looking forward to it!

Our family does this as a tradition now; as others have mentioned, we do it as the last thing before we go home; breakfast, then back to the hotel, and off to an afternoon flight. It's a great way to say goodbye to WDW...for now...The Mad Hatter is the best! Our kids like the buffet style food and there are quite a few selections. The children enjoy exploring the GF while we are there, and my husband and I enjoy the flower arrangements. The gingerbread house is great if you go during Christmas. Enjoy! On a scale of 1-10, it's at the top.

we just did this on June 1st and was not impressed, the food was ok, it took so long to see the characters we were done eating before any of them came over, maybe next time we will try it for dinner, I don't think we will be doing breakfast again.

I just booked breakfast here for our last day. We did dinner last summer, and while the character interaction was fabulous, the food was terrible. Also, the service was poor. Our waitress was nowhere to be found for most of our meal, and we had stacks of dirty plates on our table for the majority of our meal. We also had to wait FOREVER for her to bring us our check and get our bill taken care of.
That said, I am looking forward to having breakfast here. We have nowhere to go but up as far as the food is concerned.

We have been to both breakfast and dinner here.

We prefer breakfast for the food but the characters at both are usually great!

What we don't like here is that unless you have one of the earliest ADRs we have always had a wait...a long one. Which probably goes back to the great character interaction and people playing and waiting with and for the characters. And we usually have had horrible service....which isn't too bad since it is a buffet but when a waitress drops off your kids drink with a lid on it and forgets to leave straws and does not return for over 20 minutes...it's bad.

Our best trip was two ago (after the previous trip which was our worst) and it was my actual birthday and Tyler was celebrating his upcoming birthday. We had a first seating and were sat at the first table where the characters come out (and it is very near the buffet too so great!) and we had the best character interaction. Skye was dressed as ALice (she was 4 and Tyler was almost 10) and Ty and I had crowns and placemats but Skye had nothing. The Madhatter came out and asked Skye if she was celebrating something and she said no, it was her brother and mom's birthdays...and he corrected her and told her she was celebrating her UN-BIRTHDAY! And he made the waitress get her a crown too. Then he and Alice talked to her and paid her lots of attention for quite a while (because tables were not full yet as it had just opened). We left feeling redeemed from our horrible time the trip before.

So the moral of our story is to get an early ADR time and you should be very happy!

Such a cute story! We have ADR's at 9:30am, I hope that we are not rushed then. It is during the first week of December, so hopefully it won't be so busy. I am really looking forward to my 3 sons playing with the Mad Hatter!

We went in April on our last day. We had something like a 9:30 reservation and showed up at 8:30, and they took us right away. The food was decent (Crystal Palace was slightly better), and the characters were great. Alice was a riot.

I have a few questions if no one minds

You get to see mary poppins here right???
Also alice and mad hatter
and now pooh and maybe tigger???

Also we ave 11am ressie
Is this a good time?.. we are no hurry this day, so if it take a while that ok!

We love it the character interaction is great. my dh says we have to eat here every year for breakfast. they even have an ice cream bar at breakfast.
