I have lost 10 pounds in less than 2 weeks (atkins). We are leaving next Friday for a business/early anniversary trip. I do not want to do atkins in New Orleans. I will be there 4 days (business in Dallas the previous days), can I do a "modified" version? I guess that means eat low carb snacks, but if I want a beignet, I have one. That's not bad, right? I will be going through that at WDW in August, too - since we will be a party of 7 on that trip, my niece wants us to get the Kitchen Sink.

What do you guys do in these situations?

Thanks!!!

I say if it's not going to get you upset....then go for what will make your trip the most liveable...;) ;) ;) ;)

Do what you want to do. I was in NO in February. I followed the Atkins plan with no problems. In fact, it was really easy.

Just remember that if you decide to eat off plan foods, no fair pouting about any gain, fluid or otherwise, when you get home again :)

Thats just what I was gonna say Kath! Chances are if you go off you will gain some weight back- and you will have to go through induction again, because you will knock yourself out of ketosis- but if you don't mind doing that, then by all means go and eat what you want! You'll neverknow how your body will respond otherwise! HAve a fun trip!

I am usually in ketosis within 2 days, and I really don't mind induction, since the stuff I really want I can't have off induction either!!!

Knowing me, I'll have a couple of high carb things, physically feel lousy, and go right back to Atkins. ;)
