Tell me I'm crazy....

I rung them and they were very patronising "Ma'am, if the rooms say they are sold on the internet then they are sold EVERYWHERE".

Plus, my brother has bailed on going with me so I think the June dream is dead and buried! :sad1:

Guess I'll have to try and squeeze in a trip next March as original planned... that just seems like soooooo far away!

Which number did you try ? As you tend to get better results calling France direct rather than the UK number which gets you put through to the US.

:goodvibes

Oh dear, I assume it was an american call handler?? I had an awful women when I booked our June trip. She told me off for acknowledging the terms and conditions. I got told in a round about way to shut up and let her finish!! There's customer service for you!!

When I called to upgrade I called the french number on one of the threads regarding upgrading and got much friendlier french lady!

Here it is...

Phone 0844 200 90 90 then when prompted enter 00 33 1 60 30 60 53 It's 0.5p minute and ask them if you can upgrade your package and have the new 40% discount applied to your package too. If they say they can't do it hang up and try calling again to speak to someone else....repeat until you get someone who will. It's taken some people at least 5-6 times to get lucky. You have more chance of getting it phoning the numbers above than phoning the UK call centre.

I called the US number. Might give the French number a go tonight. This is now my second bad experience with speaking the US team.

It just makes me so sad, as it used to be me answering those calls when they still had a UK reservation centre and I know that I would never speak to someone like that. :confused3

I know, I haven't worked in a contact centre but did work in a customer services environment for years and if I'd have ever spoke to someone like that I'd have been out of a job!

So many people seem to have problems with the american agents (apologies to any americans amongst you all!!) It just seems like they want to hang up at the earliest opportunity. I'm guessing they're paid per call!

I hope you get lucky later and can still go! Will you alone after all if you can get a good deal?

Maybe try the Irish site or breakaway.ie or disneylandparisdirect.co.uk.

Dont think you are mad cause Im there in 6 weeks today :cool1: and have flights and transfers booked for January and plans underway for May 2014 as that will be the next trip :rotfl:
In January Im off on my own with my DS who will turn 4 while we are there... I just hope hes out of his difficult stage. He threw his drink of water over next doors DD earlier :scared1: how come they always make a show of ya?!

Hope a new offer / more availability comes up for you. Maybe try early in the morning as I hear more availability comes up in the mornings.
Keep us informed :thumbsup2

Thank you everyone. I have tried every option I can think of but nothing comes close to the amazing Sequoia Lodge deal I found.

I think I am going to do the sensible thing (for once!) and give up on the June idea. I know that in reality we probably couldn't afford the extra expense anyway, I just really really wanted to get back to the magic this year. Looks like it's back to the original plan of going to haven for the week!

Ho-hum... I'll keep my eyes out for the new brochure prices and then hopefuly get something booked up for next March. (unless an amazing deal comes up for later this year!! :rotfl::rotfl:)

I had exactly the same, people on here said ring up and query (obviously being kind and trying to help) and all I got was a very patronising US call handler who was very rude indeed :headache: I wish I hadn't rang and wasted the money on a call.

If I have to ring in future I am going to ring the French number in the hope I get someone half decent. Disney really needs to sort out the American CMs - all the ones I have spoken to have been really rude, and quite often don't know what they are talking about/give wrong prices etc .

Hope you get a trip sorted soon - how about a long weekend early Christmas season? :thumbsup2
