ok so ash has always wanted to spend her birthday in dlp. i looked into it last year but changed my mind as i had left it too late to book. the problem is that her birthday is on the 15th of december. now i know it will be freezing and very busy am i crazy to even think about it?

i talked to my mam who said that seeing as every year my family don't know what to get her for her birthday with christmas so close they could all chip in a bit. i was thinking of going on the sunday ( her birthday is on the saturday) for four nights five days. we always have a family pizza party on her birthday and i was going to surprise her.

that would mean i wouldn't have her party with her friends that costs around 150 euros and with others chipping in it wouldn't cost me much more than that.

what do you think? would you go for it?

Would be lovely to see the christmas season and such an amazing surprise for your daughter. She would still get to see your family on her actual birthday and it would be such a memorable birthday present.

i dont think it will be that busy! the sun def WILL be but we went years ago around that time and weekdays werent actually too busy at all! i do remember it being extremely cold though, you would be best to get her a ski outfit..but def go for it and dont look back you will have a brilliant time and make wonderful memories with surprising her etc

my little boy is also from 15th December and I'd love to take him for his 3rd Bday next year or a year after so it still before he starts school...

No doubt about it you're crazy - go for it, everyone should get the chance to have 1 Birthday in Disney, Cafe Mickey and a cake? I'm sure ash will love it and Christmas season too and there's the 2 nights free offer if you're quick.

Hi ALL the best people are born on December 15th....... Yes myself included
We went to DLP last year just after my birthday (from the 17th to the 22nd) & Yes it was pretty cold, but nothing that my thermals could'nt sort out. We had never been at that time of year before & I can honestly say that it was my favourite trip ( I just wish that we could go again this year but those piggin school holidays just don't fall right this year )

It sounds like an amazing idea! I would love to take our DS again for his birthday (we took him when he was two and he didn't really know what was going on!) but with his birthday being right at the beginning of September this isn't likely to happen.

It's my daughter's birthday in Dec 23rd and we're going from Nov 29-Dec 2, which is going to be a chance to see the park in its Christmas glory and an early birthday treat for M She's not going to get a party with her friends this year either but she is going to have birthday cake at Cafe Mickey and possibly a princess makeover if it's available! WAY less stress and more fun for mummy

We did Disney that week, 2 winters ago when it was totally Baltic but it was brilliant... Thermals are a must!
