Tell me I did the right thing, gave up Tonys

We are going in 3 weeks and I have had dinner ressies at Tony's but after reading the new menu posted on the Dis I decided to jump to CP instead...they had lots of times open for 2 which is wild! We have not had dinner at CP in over 2 years, I think I made the right decision....I really wanted the eggplant dish that was on the old Tonys menu, the new choices are just kinda blech

Yeah, I agree that the dinner menu doesn't look that exciting. The lunch menu looks yummy though.
If you haven't been to CP for years, then I think it's definitely time you go back. And everyone here will be waiting to see all of your CP buffet pictures!

I, for one, think that you have made the right decision. We've been going there for years, and every trip it gets worse and worse. I miss the days when you could get breakfast there, though.

I think you made a good choice. We're thinking of doing the same thing. We loved the Beef and spinach cannelloni at tony's it was to die for but now it's gone and nothing really blows my skirt up!

CP doesn't have a very good lunch or dinner. The breakfast is very good.

We love CP, I have it booked for all three meals when we go in Nov/Dec! It's a must for us, the only ressie I would have to do if I could only do one. Regarding Tony's the majority of reviews I have heard have been negative which is a pity but they will be going down for a rehab so hopefully they get a new chef too!

I guess I'm going against the tide here... !!! My daughter and I have enjoyed every meal we've had there...actually...they've been some of our favorite dining experiences.

I'm one of those die-hard Crystal Palace fans. I've never eaten breakfast there, but have done both lunch and dinner, and we absolutely love it. Love the food, love the atmosphere, love the characters. I really don't think you can go wrong with this choice.

FWIW... our Grand Gathering ate at Tony's in June and it was terrific. But I'm sure CP will be fine, too. Enjoy your trip.

CP die-hard here as well. Tony's has never "blown my skirt up" (love that one!! ) either, and we've tried it on more than one occasion just to be fair about it. However, CP is a winner hands down. Good choice, now on with the Pooh!! (eww)

Actually, I've been waiting for that experience myself, but I saw someone else posted that and man did I laugh my you-know-what off!!!

Yes you did the right thing! We just returned from our trip 2 days ago, (July 17th-July 27th) and we ate at the Crystal Palace for lunch for the first time.(We usually do breakfast there.) By the way we got an ADR for Crystal Palace at 2 the day before we left! We found that we like lunch there better then breakfast. It was a nice break from the park, and the food was really good! Also the character interaction was awesome, maybe one of the best we have had!

Hand down would have taken Tony's in my opinion.
