First time cruising with our kids who are teens. How do we handle room charges when they are not with us? Can we set permissions or limits for them? Can they use a gift card instead?

Yes, you can authorize them to charge when you do the on-line check-in. About the only places they could use gift cards, afaik, are the gift shops. Not sure if they can use them in the arcades.

There used to be. Not sure if there are any more. They may have been removed for other shops, like Vanellopes
OK, had to go look. On the Dream and Fantasy the arcade was where Vanellope's is now. The Wonder had an arcade where Edge is now.

You can authorize charges to a room card - or not. You can't set a limit on how much can be charged. Gift cards can be used in the shops (AFAIK). But not for specialty drinks.
