I am cruising in February and am interested in spending a day at Mr. Sanchos. I visited the website but didn't find must information. How easy is it to get to? cost? food included? Ages to ride wave runners? worth the price? Thank you for anything you can share :yay:

Bump!

I'm cruising in February as well, and I'm also interested in this All Inclusive Beach Club. We are interested in the wave runners and the snorkeling.

They're Facebook page has some extra information that you might find helpful.

We went to Mr. Sancho's our very first visit to Cozumel years ago, but have been going to Paradise Beach ever since. The place just keeps getting better and better -- the new pool is amazing! The beach is pretty much the same at both -- they're not that far from each other -- but PB is just really really nice. Great food, too.

What is it about Mr. Sancho's that has you interested in going there, so I can give you a better comparison?

The AI concept was most appealing.

Online you can find a $45 AI rate. That seems reasonable and Mr Sanchos appears to actually be all you can eat, meaning we could get multiple meals/snacks if we stay long enough and have drinks between. Also has use of pool, kayaks, lockers, beach chairs, etc.

We are interested in snorkeling, and I know that on most of these beaches you need to do a 'tour' on a boat. I'm OK with that and just need to know who has the tours that operate directly from the beaches (looking to save on taxi fares). I think Mr Sanchos has a tour operator, but there is little to no info about it. How much, how long, where it goes, etc.

We may also be interested in wave runners as we have never done this before and DH just mentioned that he's always wanted to use one, but somehow never told me, so now that is a factor.

So far there are 4 adults and DD (almost 2) traveling, looking for a beach, drinks, food, snorkeling options, pool, and hopefully not too crazy.

There are so many options in Cozumel, for what we are looking for. I'm just trying to gather as much info as possible about all the choices.

I second paradise beach. It's awesome. Was there in march and very pleased. It's very clean and pool was amazing. Very cheap to get in. Like 4 dollars per person to use pool chairs and beach area. 12 dollars if you want to use inflatable blow up stuff out in the water. Clean nice restrooms and changing area. Food was great also

We're also looking into beach clubs and debating between Mr Sancho's, Paradise Beach and Playa Uvas. I think I'm leaning towards Playa Uvas because snorkeling equipment (all day use) and a snorkeling tour is included. They're suppose to be smaller and more quiet. They also have a couple different packages to choose from. But I'm still debating....

I forgot about Playa Uvas! They were on the list too, during my first round of research a few months ago.

For a short time I considered Nachi Cocum as well, but we decided the extra cost wasn't really worth the exclusivity for us vs Mr Sanchos.

Last night, DH finally said that he really wants AI, and also said yesterday that he's always wanted to use a jet ski/wave runner. :confused3 Now he tells me?! I never knew he had interest in that. That helps narrow down my choices, because we certainly aren't paying for jet skis on CC. $$$ :scared1:

We went to Mr.Sanchos in 2010.

Booked through Cozumel Water Sports online-you pay $5 bucks per person I think to book-then pay the balance at the resort.
I think it was $45 for adults, 25(maybe a little less) for my son who was 6 and my 4 year old was free. (it said under 4 free, but when I entered her age as 4 it came up FREE-not sure if this is the same still or not.

http://www.cozumel-watersports.com/excursions/mrsanchosallinclusivebeach.html

All you can eat off the menu (minus their Lobster dish and maybe one other item) All you can drink Sol beer and tropical mixed drinks (no shots) and lemonade or something for the kids.

You get one server. The all inclusive stuff has to be done with him. If you go to the bar yourself-you will have to pay for that.

You get chairs on the beach.

There are small snorkling areas as well-husband didn't see a whole lot.

They have water toys (slide, bounce, climbing stuff) that you pay extra fee for.

I think they also have horseback riding, jet ski, banana boat activities as well that are extra. We didn't do any of the extra stuff.

We had a great time here. And we went in March.

There were spring breakers. And they do play Music that is kinda dance clubish, but my kids didn't seem to notice what words were being sang-they were having too much fun.

They have gift shops on premises-we forgot a sandpail and easily bought one for a few bucks.

Cab ride was easy. Just say you want to go to Mr.Sanchos-cabs waiting to take people back to ships all the time so whenever you are ready to go someone is there.

We would return if we went to cozumel again.

We are seriously contemplating PB however my only concern is that there are 4 other ships in port with us that day and i'm afraid it's going to be packed... Were the crowds unbearable when you all went?

For some reason, there have always been at least 6, 7, even 8 ships in port the same day as us. Just lucky, I guess! Lol. But we have always used the same plan of attack as we do at WDW -- get there early and beat the crowds!! We try to be up and off the ship by 9 in Cozumel, and at PB by 9:30-ish at the very latest. Going then, we are always among the first the get there and always get front-row chairs right where we want.

With only 4 ships, you shouldn't have much of a problem at all, if you get off the ship before all the lollygaggers!

As far as the all-inclusive thing goes, I can't compare the resorts beased on that. Myself, I could never eat & drink enough to make it worth it. For snorkeling, Cozumel is just not the place to do it anyway, unless you're going pretty far out and doing some deep water snorkeling. (It's not great on that side of the island, at least) We always bring our own gear anyway and at least venture into the water to check it out, but have never seen more than a few nondescript fish by the pier. So I definitely wouldn't count snorkel gear being included as any sort of big plus in Cozumel, unless a snorkel tour is included -- and then you wouldn't be enjoying the rest of the facilities or your nice beach day! :beach:

They do have waverunners and banana boat rides at PB, as well as all the amazing inflatable water things, and the bungee trampoline onshore. Tons of pictures at www.paradise-beach-cozumel.com :goodvibes

I tentatively have decided to hit Chankanaab first thing to snorkel. It seems worthwhile, is less time and money than a real tour, and is considered excellent conditions for beginners. We have to toddler swap with the grandparents, so this is the ideal snorkeling adventure for us on Cozumel. Other things to do and see while we snorkel in small groups.

After that we will hit Mr Sancho or Paradise Beach for lunch and beach play.

We are on the Wonder and have 3 other ships with us, so I guess we're quite lucky. Though one is the Carnival Dream. The port load for the day is around 13000.

Thanks to everyone for the great info. Both Paradise and Mr Sancho sound like what we're looking for. I'll compile all the info for my family and let them help make the decision.

Keep the reviews coming!

Just back from the Fantasy and we did not go to Mr. Sanchos because someone in our party had a bad experience there a few years back. Something about being charged for ice in their bucket of beer and other hidden charges and she now vows she will never go back. We ended up going to Margaritaville while we were in Cozumel and had a blast! They have an inflatable playground and snorkel gear you can use for free (there is a tip jar though) as long as you order some thing. We had 4 beers and our bill was right around $30.00. The snorkeling was better than Castaway Cay! You can see all the inflatables from the ship and its an easy walk. No beach, but they had loungers on a patio. We had way more fun there than our beach day in Costa Maya and for the price we really enjoyed ourselves. Good luck with whatever you decide.

Thanks for this!!!

We've been to Margaritaville in Grand Cayman & loved it & are going back in December. We didn't do Margaritaville Cozumel because after our excursion, it was raining & DD was exhausted. Glad to hear this as it sounds like something we'd like to do!!

They must not have done the all inclusive-because the all inclusive does not include buckets of beer.(Only draft beer) At any rate hidden charges are not right, especially for ice---that just sounds crazy.

But yeah, at Mr.Sanchos you can also just go there and pay to get in. The rules are much more strict though. You have to pay extra for chairs etc. and there is a different part of the beach those folks have to go to.
The all inclusive was very easy.
