Hi,

We have planned out my grad trip! :cheer2: :cheer2: Tell me what you think. OKW 3 days 1 bedroom/Magic/VB 3 days 1 bedroom. Never been to OKW or VB. Please tell me everything about OKW! I know many of you own there & love it. Is this a good plan? We will have 29 points to bank as well. :cheer2: :cheer2:

(Your new Johnny Depp pic is trying to download a cookie on my computer from warnerbros.com. It's cool but sneaky.)

What's to say about OKW? You just have to experience it. I think it's a perfect combo with your other plans. Get set to relax.

I think that OKW is a GREAT resort for simply enjoying the grounds as well as the excellent atmosphere. There are plenty of sidewalks and nice paved pathways for you to get around and the landscaping is fantastic! (I suspect SSR will catch up in a few years - but it still has that "new" feel about it...of course hurricanes blowing over trees isn't helping there lol). What I noticed most about OKW is a laid back feeling. Everyone seemed really really friendly. The main area around the Hospitality house and pool is a fun place to go and have a quick lunch while watching the water with boats coming and going. Dont miss a trip to DTD on the water taxi. It is very pretty and will allow you to see OKW from a different perspective. My family really enjoyed Olivias and I think that it is a great breakfast value (considering WDW prices). If you are back far in the resort and don't want to drive to the HH, there are internal buses that will take you to the HH as their last stop before leaving the complex, but dang if I could figure out which one stopped there and which one didn't (some other OKWer can help us out there I am sure). We stayed in a studio that didnt have much of a view because the landscaping is so thick and lush, but I think you will have a better chance of a great view staying in a one bedroom.

Have fun Allison! I can't wait to hear about your experiences at both OKW and VB!

I think you'll really enjoy the beauty and peacefulness of the resort. You'll flip over the size of your 1 bedroom too. We always get "welcome homes" there and find the CM's to be very friendly and helpful. You can take a small boat over to DD/Marketplace if you like, as well as rent pontoon boats and such and just go out on a picnic. My kids love to do this when we're at OKW. Olivia's is a great place on the resort for a sit down meal. Not sure if you're traveling with kids or not, but they have a new sandcastle slide by the main pool, as well as several other quiet pools scattered throughout the resort. This resort is allows parking right outside your door if you have a rental or your own car. If you won't have a car, just hop on the OKW bus and it will take you to the main Hospitality House/check-in area on it's way out to the parks. If you have any other specific questions feel free to ask. There's lots of people here who can help you make the most of out your first trip there. Sounds like you have a great vacation planned with the cruise and Vero as well
