I'd like to have bottled water for days in port....not just one bottle per person, but two or three (half litres). What's the best way to make sure we have it?

Should I buy my own case in LA and shlep it aboard? (Advice on tagging and carrying, please.)
Does DCL sell it? (If they do, I bet shlepping would be cheaper, huh?)
Does DCL give it away as we disembark? If so, can I get several bottles?

TIA
Kelley

I'm a bottled water drinker but honestly you don't need it on DCL. They have great filtered water for free up on deck 9. Here is what we do. We bring two sports bottles and before leaving on an excursion we fill them up with ice and then top off with water. Then we have nice cool water for our whole excursion.

If you don't want to go that route then you have the option of bringing the water onboard or buying it from Disney. They usually have someone selling it as you are leaving the ship.

DCL definately does not give it out.....you may purchase a case of bottled water onboard for about $30.00 and yes, lugging it on yourself will be cheaper, but will it be worth the inconvience of getting it onboard....others have posted that in Florida, the porters would bring it to your cabin if it was marked with your a label with your name and cabin number....but I do not know if anyone has tried it yet for the CA cruises.

We usually bring a few water bottles onboard and just keep refilling them at the drink station that has delicious, purified water.

Our first day on the repo cruise was at Castaway Cay. I bought the DCL soft side cooler with 6 bottles of water for $15.00. We went to a bar and asked that they put in extra ice and everything stayed nice and cold.

While we didn't refill the bottles, you can do what the others suggested, fill the bag with ice and you'll be good to go. :flower:

This is exactly what I was going to suggest. GREAT idea!
