Tell me about resort rooms....

I would like to know your thoughts about the actual rooms in the different resorts....which ones you like the best, biggest in each catagory (value, moderate, deluxe) the newer rooms (remodeled, etc).

We are trying to decide which resort to stay in. We have stayed at the Dolphin with a great rate after our last cruise. We have also camped at FW. So, this will be our first "real" WDW resort vacation....

We've even thought about doing the concierge....

My DH's request is to try to find a room with a couch...whatever...it's not like we are going to spend that much time in the room anyway....

Thanks in advance for all your help!! :flower1: :flower1:

Well we stayed at the CBR in April. The room was ok as it had 1 king size bed, a table and 2 chairs, a bench, I believe 2 sinks and a shower/bath tub. It was decorated in the carribean theme. That is the only room I can describe as it was our only time to visit. This time we are staying at WL. We cannot wait. :cool1: :jumping4:

We are too! It is the only deluxe we haven'y stayed at.
Got to love those larger beds. DH can not sleep in a double bed, which is what moderates and values have.
Also, concierge is a nice thing to have. Quick breakfast options, beverages, snacks.

I'll let you know about a little bit about some of my fav rooms I have stayed at....

Contemporary - It was more spacious then most other rooms. It was great being able to take a boat ride, monorail, or even walk to MK! The decor was a bit "loud" for my taste. It didn't stop me from having fun, if anything it kept me out of the room more.

Yacht Club - So far one of my favorites! It is so beautifully decorated inside and out. Everyone is so friendly! You can't beat the pool there. It is like it's own mini water park. I also loved being able to walk to 2 parks (epcot and Disney Studios), walking over to the Boardwalk at night was also such a treat. They have something there for everyone of all ages; different night performers, carnival games, face painting, food, etc.

Port Orleans French Quarter - This resort had such a fun atmosphere. It was great walking out in the early morning and seeing the gardens and nice walkways it really helps you get in the Disney spirit! I know they just refurbished the rooms so I can't comment to much on that.

Grand Floridian - I loved staying there. I felt like a princess the entire time. It is a gorgeous resort!

Those are my 4 favorite so far. You can get really great pics off allearsnet.com of many of the resorts. I can't wait to try out more. Im counting down the days until I go to BWV. I also really want to try Poly and Animal Kingodom Lodge. When choosing a resort I would say to go for what you and your family are really going to want out of a resort (location, pools, activities, themes) You really can't go wrong with any of the resort! princess:
