Hi all!!
We are leaving next Tuesday   and this week my daughter and I went to the Disney store and we just HAD to buy Mickey shirts for all of us to wear when we are at MK next week!! :mickeyjum (of course the $5 shirts were out of sizes so I had to buy the more expensive ones!) You should have seen my DH's face! He thinks I am nuts! I asked him if he would wear the shirt and he said "If I must". My DH actually IS a Disney fan, but wearing the Mickey shirt just wasn't something he had in mind! The whole thing just kind of made me laugh!

Anyone else buy matching shirts?? More than one set of matching shirts? Just curious!
We leave in 4 days!!!!! :yay: :yay: :yay: :yay:
me ::MinnieMo
DH ::MickeyMo

We had matching shirts made up from an internet company. Me and DH (27) and mum and dad (50s) they looked great and I don't know if they helped, but we got picked for the parade on the day we wore them.

we wear matching (or coordinating i.e. dh/ds in a blue tigger shirt and dd/i in blue pooh shirts) shirts every single day of our disney trips... it started out accidentally w/just wearing the same color tee shirt each day to make it easier to keep track of the kids and morphed into this obsession w/matching shirts every day after i found the Creative DISigners who design amazing custom shirt designs for ironing on your own tee shirts... i've already started planning our shirts for our sept/oct trip! (sick, i know! LOL!)

when we went for five days in january, i made 28 shirts for the eight of us, including sweat shirts for the kids...

it really is GREAT FUN! :flower:

:cool1: :dance3: Last year we got the blue print mickey outfits from the disney store, when they went on markdown. we have t-shirts that say " I can't remember where I bought this shirt" from Nemo. dd12 and I have matching tink t-shirts. and we plan to make the tie dye mickey head shirts too!! have fun!!

For Mother's day I purchased matching shirts for my wife, DD10, DD8 and DS2 for our upcoming trip. They were from the Disney Store Online. I had "The Laushey's in Walt Disney World" along with our names put on the shirts too. My wife loved them so much so that she decided to order some more for Father's day - oops, I intercepted the package and found out. Anyway, she had bought another set of LIME Green matching shirts from DS online too. Her original plan was to get matching Dwarf shirts since she already had a Doc shirt (I got that for her when she earned her PhD and put "Just call me Doc" on the back). Anyway a fight ensued among the kids as to who would be Grumpy so we settle on me - Happy, DD10 - Dopey, DD8 - Bashful and DS2 - Sleepy. So now we have 3 sets of matching shirts. I had already planned on printing another shirt which we just did as well. These shirts have the University of Georgia logo with Mickey Ears on top. I saw someone else post a picture of it on these boards a while ago and I copied it (many thanks to whomever you are!). So now we have 4 matching shirts for our July 4th week long trip! Hopefully we can get picked for a parade or opening ceremony. :grouphug:

We picked up $5 "patriotic" Mickey shirts and hats at the Disney Store for grandaughter, wife and myself. Quite a deal! We leave on the 10th for a nine night stay at BWV and BCV.

We don't have matching shirts as a family, but my dh & ds have a couple matching shirts & my 2 dds have a couple of matching shirts. I tried to keep them in the same color range to keep track, but I never thought of just buying matching shirts from Disney-- duH?!?!?!? :confused3

Stitchs Greatest Fa and gigi1313,

Could you give more info on where you got your shirts - is there a website?

Thanks

In October, we (4 adults, all late 20's-early 30's) wore and Incredibles tshirt to MGM. It was the red one with the "I" logo on the front.

Over 25 people asked us where we bought them so they could get one (we got them at the local Disney store at the mall.)

We got a lot of attention from cast members too! It was fun. One asked us (at Fantasmic) "If the Incredibles have the night off, who is going to save the Earth if something bad happens?"
Our reply (thanks to some quick thinking on one person's part): "Frozone, of course!"

DW bought 5 matching Mickey Mouse t-shirts from a local church flea market last year and we wore them our last day in the MK. We rec'd dozens of questions as to where we got them, etc.

We had Incredibles shirts too. CM's were asking us for our autographs, the green soldiers in the MGM parade saluted us, and park visitors were saying "There's the Incredibles!", and asking us where we got the shirts in the adult sizes (apparently, they couldn't be found at any of the parks in adult sizes). I got picked first for the Indy show. It was me, DH 35, DS 10 and DD8. It was so fun! We felt like celebrities! :goodvibes

I just went to the Disney Store where they were having their 3 for $20 kids t-shirts and picked up matching shirts for all 3 DDs for each day of the trip. These were a great deal, they are bright colored, all have big faces of Disney characters on the front and the characters name on the back. Plus I feel a little more secure in case, God forbid, one of them wanders off I'll know immediately what she's wearing. Not to mention it'll look cute in pictures.

We got:
red Incredibles
pink Minnie Mouse
green Goofy
teal Dalmatian
red Mickey Mouse
yellow Donald Duck
tie-dye blue Narnia

Now all our days are covered and in the mornings I can just say "Girls, today we're wearing our green Goofy shirts" and they can dress themselves. The smallest size was a 2/3 so the barely 2 year old's looks a little long on her but oh well. It's so hard to find matching stuff for a toddler up to an 8 year old and if I'd waited to buy them at WDW, it would've cost 10 times as much. I'm so pleased with my find!
Oh, they also had matching Narnia shirts for parents but DH refused. He loves Narnia and he loves his girls matching but refuses to play along. Unbeknowst to him though, I am buying he and I matching Mr. & Mrs. Incredible shirts for MGM day. He'll just have to deal with it. :teeth:

Alot of families do this...it helps in keeping an eye on the kids not to mention, if a child does happen to get lost you can explain to the CM easily what the child is dressed like.

My family has matching Star Wars weekend shirts from last year. Maybe your dh wouldn't mind wearing this instead? All the shirts are black backround.

The 3 kids also have a set of red DL Christmas shirts. Plus, dh and I have different shirts with wdw logos on them.

Hope we aren't too over the top. When our family wears matching disney shirts we do seem to get more attention/interaction from the CM's.

I have an embroidery sewing machine and have bought a couple character rights so it can be fun to make sweatshirts, polos, tank tops, t-shirts etc.

Check out the creative board all the way at the bottom some really neat ideas and families post the shirts!!!!

DH absolutely will NOT wear matching shirts. He thinks it is horribly cheesey (what else would one want to be, in the Mouse's House??)

SO I made matching shirts for the 4 kids, using instructions from the Creative DISigns board here.

Here's a pic of the shirts. They also have the Mickey heads on the backs.

no in fact if we happen to put on the same thing( like kahkis and the same color shirt) i make one of us change, just not into the matchy matchy thing and probably a good thing cause the rest of the fam. would refuse and probably commit me if i tried to make them do it:lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

i do think the little kids look cute all matchy matchy and occasionally matched them to each other..hmmm maybe that's why they won't now

Last October I made 50 shirts for our 10 day trip. Boy we had a lot of luggage! :lmao: Many nice people came up & asked me where I got the shirts. I really liked doing it because of some of the reasons mentioned above. It helped keeping my eye on my kids since they all had the same thing on. Also would have helped if they had gotten lost. It was so much fun to go around the park like that although I would never do it at home.

We will all be wearing matching shirts again this August!
Here is a picture of my kids in their shirts.

DH and I wore matching shirts every day. We had a BALL!
All except one set had our names on them. It was a blast having the CM's call us by name. Some would even shout it out as we walked by them. Here are some examples of us in our finerey. :rotfl2:
Sorry about the size of the pics. I have no idea why they are so huge. :confused3
