Tell me about your ingenious ways to carry Pal Mickey

The new one will come with the lanyard. There is a small picture of the New Pal Mickey on intercot.com! I can't wait to pick him up in June!!

I had heard it was easy for him to fall off his clip, so not wanting to lose him, I used one of those little locking multipurpose ties that plumbers and carpenters use to bundle things together and put it through the keyring part of a caniber clip, then locked the tie tight around his neck. He was then easy to attach to either our backpack straps or fanny belt with the caniber clip and he was always secure.

By the way I also used the same thing (multipurpose tie and caniber clip) around the neck of our water bottles so we could clip them to our fanny pack or backpack, depending on which we were carrying that day.

What does Pal Mickey do/say while you're at WDW? From what I understand it says things, but it seems only in WDW or DL? What is the difference between a current and a new Pal Mickey? What's the age range as far as appeal? I need the 411!

tells jokes, about rides, places to go and things to see, it would be cool if you took him to Universal if he started swearing at you.

We brought along our DD Build A Bear Backpack, he fit very nicely inside. As for age guidelines, DH, DD (11) and I took turns carrying him because we all liked what he had to say. He now sits on DD desk in a Build A Bear chair, perfect size for him.

A lot of back packs have a front strap (one that goes across the chest in the front). Pal Mickey sits very nicely there, and I can easily tell when he has something to say, and I can easily reach his hand or tummy.
This also acts as a nice seat belt, giving Pal Mickey a nice view, and holds him tight enough that he doesn't fall out.

The below picture kind of shows the idea. It is hard to tell that it is Pal Mickey under the rain gear.

A woven strap that goes around your neck that you wear like a necklace and usually has a hook or clip of some sort on the end to hold tickets, passes or other items. A lot of people put decorative trading pins on them, as well.

What is pin trading?

Ok - pin trading is - trading pins.

People buy disney pins and wear them on a lanyard. Then, if you see a CM or another guest with a pin trading lanyard and want to trade one of yours for one of theirs then you do. CM's must trade a pin for ours as long as it is an official disney pin, guests don't have to trade if they don't wish to.

Just FYI this website has a great search feature - if you have a question you can just use the search feature in addition to adding a post. Most likely you will find more than enough answers using search, I know I do.
