How was your meal? What did your server do? Did you have fun? :teeth:

We will never attempt this place again. First time we went the food was ok--and had no antics what so ever. We just figured our server was not into it that day. Tried it again on our next trip and specifically asked to be put in an area where antics would happen. They said ok but you will have to wait a little longer. No problem--45 min later they seat us--our waitress did not play the part, was just plain boring--my kids were watching the other tables and wanted that to happen to us--never did. The food was OK, but they overcharged on my daughters meal. Just not worth it to us. I have heard others that have had a great time--just wish we would have.

My family was there last September and we had a great Cousin Patty (waitress). My husband had to set the table because he was the oldest (ha ha ha). She told us wer were having dinner that evening with 20 of our favorite cousins and made us say Hi to all our cousins. She chastised me for having my elbows on the table. I ordered the fried chicken which was really really good along with the garlic potatoes, but the meal came with green beans, of which I only sort of like, but with the mound they gave me, I knew there was no way I was going to be able to eat them all as they aren't my total favorite. I tried hiding them under a piece of chicken and Cousin Patty caught me and chastised me loudly again in front of all my "cousins". It was funny and embarrassing sort of... I knew it was just a "gag".

Cousin Patty said I was able to have no dessert for not finishing my veggies until she found out we were on the dining plan and then said she was going to go easy on me because of the dining plan and she couldn't refuse me! HA! I ordered a brownie something or other and it was really good too.

The antics may have to do with the waiter you get, but the food was delicious, in my humble opinion.

:lovestruc

We were there for Thanksgiving last year and, of course, had the turkey which was very tasty. :thumbsup2 Our "cousin", who was REALLY into it, was a hoot! :lmao:

Some things he did:
Made the teenagers at the next table go wash their hands before he would serve them... when they said they already did, he asked what color the wallpaper was! :p They couldn't answer so he scolded them and sent them do it over again. :rotfl: Made one of the mothers stand in the corner because she didn't eat her vegetables. :teeth: I spilled some gravy on my blouse and he made everyone in the section chant, "messy, messy mama! shame, shame shame!" :rotfl2:

If you are a good sport about it, it can be a lot of fun! ;)

We have been there once on our honeymoon. My hubby got the fried chicken and I got some kind of sand. (can't remember) The portions were pretty big for me
Our server did a wonderful job playing the part. We are going back again in June and taking our Kids DS 3 and DD 2

I felt the same way about WCC. You hear about all the funny stuff they do and you get someone who does nothing at all. And then you watch the others have so much fun. Our waiter at WCC, :rolleyes2 , I thought even with having the two girls there he would do something. :sad2: Not once!

My husband had his elbows on the table, and a kid at another table told on him. Well when our "aunt" asked him if it was true, he lied! LOL .... well she made him get up and sing I'm a little teapot.

On another trip, my husband had to seat other people and let them know what was for dinner. We also had the Ketchup trick played on us. My kids loved it, almost as much as the men having to sing "I'm a little buttercup" at Whispering Canyon.

We as a family really get into it. We also start up conversations to start the ball rolling. We really must get out of our shells! LOL

We stopped there for ice cream - just a quick stop to cool off and get a treat. Our waitress brought out 2 of the 3 ice cream sundaes that we had ordered (the one for my oldest DS was missing). We said that we had ordered three sundaes, and asked nicely if she could please bring the rest of our order (this was after waiting a bit, thinking that she would bring it out separately). She told us no! We were kind of surprised, and I actually asked her again, but she wouldn't put the order in. My DS felt bad, and it kind of put a damper on the afternoon.

What! That's horrible! I was planning on going in November. I'm starting to second guess. My girls will be 4 & 6 and are very sensitive. Not sure what to do now. :confused3

:confused3 :furious: I don't think I would have let this go. I would quietly get up and see the manager.

My family loves this restaurant!!! We have been there twice and have had fun both times. The food is real good comfort food. Go with the chix, pot roast, pot pie or meatloaf and you can't go wrong. If you want to share a meal then let them know in advance and they should split it for you in the kitchen. Our last server was cousin Brenda. She immediately ordered the children to set the table and wouldnt return until it was done. She joked around alot with the kids trying to get them to believe she really was their cousin. One of the other tables was talking on the cell phone and she took it away and spoke to the women on the other end. It was so funny as she was explaining to the girls mother that her kids were in Disney for lunch. We had alot of fun, although you may have to prompt your server sometimes. Just get in the act and I am sure they will too!!!!!

We LOVE the PTC and eat there every trip. Sometimes we get better servers than others, but we always have a good time (and the meatloaf is DELICIOUS!!!).

:thumbsup2 We go every year. Cousin BRENDA is awesome. The food is good and the antics are fun. The PB&J shake is DELISH!

We ate lunch there last month. At first we were disappointed in our table location which was on the edge of the first room (sort of near the kitchen and bathroom hallways :sad2: ) but we were tired and hungry so we didn't say anything. Well our waiter "Cousin Joey" made up for the location. He was perfect for us. Just enough into character to be fun but not so over the top that we would have been uncomfortable. He was really friendly and good natured about eating all your veggies etc... He really got on DH in a funny way about his elbows, had our whole room laughing at one point as he cruised by toward the kitchen saying in a loud voice "Dad, how many times do I have to remind you about the elbows?" My kids cracked up! :rotfl2:

Food was really good, I had ham sand, DD had turkey, DH had a grilled chicken sand (I think) and we made up a meal for DS (10) for which Joey only charged a kids price, he had a plain grilled chicken breast, fries and fresh fruit.
DS had a special drink with glow ice cube, cute souvineer, we shared smores. We would definitely go again, liked it much better than H&V or SciFi.

Just a hint: you can order your fried chicken (very good) meal with corn instead of green beans. When others in your party don't know this it makes for a pretty good scene when they have to eat their green beans and you managed to get corn instead!!

Thanks for the corn hint. :thumbsup2
I like green beans - but my teenage DS will fair better with corn.

I will also ask for no gravy on the chicken dish - toooo many calories.
(and I am not a gravy person)

Oh man, now you tell me!!! :teeth:

Next time, it's going to be corn for me!

We had an awesome time there. I had to eat all my green beans (yuck) before I could have dessert. The waiter actually did the airplane thing and fed them to me. Of course, my son thought this was the funniest thing he's ever seen.

I found out about the corn thing the hard way! The people at the next table beside me had ordered chicken and their's came out with corn and I was having to eat the green beans. I asked "why did they get corn?" and I was told because they ordered it that way!! From then on, I've ordered corn with my fried chicken. LOL!!
