Tell me about WISHES from Poly beach please.

Can you hear the Wishes music from the Poly beach? We are hoping to watch the fireworks from there New Years Eve and am hoping to be able to hear the music as well.
What is the view like?

Yes you can see them, albeit not as great as if you were right there, it's a little bit in the distance. When we stayed there they were piping the music through the speakers so you can easily hear it on the beach. Enjoy!

When we stayed at the POLY in 2001, you could see the fireworks just fine from the Beach, it was very nice to sit there without the crowds, I don't recall hearing any music though, I could be wrong.

Might also suggest a couple other fun ideas:
First, get there a little earlier (9pm or so) and watch the Electric Water Parade and listen to its funky Avant Garde music;
Second, consider taking a water taxi across the lake during Wishes - music should be on board and its a unique way to enjoy the show, especially with someone close.
