We've always done the buffets for breakfast, because we aren't usually buffet people. I figure you can't mess up breakfast too bad. Considering sleeping in a little on our AK day, so I may go for a dinner ressie instead.

NOTE1: The buffet is reasonably priced for a Disney park eatery. The selection could
be more varied, but there are menu items for most tastes. Although very Americanized,
the dishes do have an African flair. The dinner *USUALLY* is not crowded and has room
for several walk-ups. There are at least four-to-five really good vegetarian options on the
buffet. All characters are at dinner, and dinner isw usually good for walk-ups without an
ADR. Be prepared for a VERY, VERY loud environment. One of the better buffet meals at
WDW. Dinner has an extra pork item and one extra salmon offering than at lunch.
.
NOTE2:There have been some menu alterations, of which I am personally disappointed.
The seasoned beef carving station now has ordinary beef, and not spicy or seasoned.
Chicken Curry has little curry and is VERY mild; cucumber & tomato salad is something
one can find on any home table. On the plus side; the bread pudding is still to-die-for
and the chocolate cookies are still soft and ooey-gooey. Be sure to grab a cookie (or two)
on the way out to munch-and-walk.

.
Appetizers: Spicy South African preserves, Tabbouleh, Hummus and Baba Ghanoush,
Endive/Apple/Walnut salad, Caesar salad, Mixed Greens salad, Tomato & Cucumber salad,
Sliced Turkey/Ham/Cheese, Tunisian Couscous salad, Green bean & onion salad, Curried
rice salad and Fresh fruit. Vegetarian Table: Marrakesh couscous, Vegetable samaosa,
Spiced Tandoori Tofu, Jollaf rice, and Pearl couscous with sweet basil essence.
Kid Food: PB&J sandwich, Corn dog nuggets, Mac & Cheese, Corn, Chicken Drumsticks,
Green beans, and Mashed potatoes.
Adult Food: Salmon filet, Root veggies, Seafood
stew, Orzo pasta, green bean medley, Rotisserie chicken, potato wedges, mashed
potatoes, Carved top sirloin and pork loin, Cape Malay curry chicken, and Basmati rice
with almonds.
Dessert: Fruit cobbler, Warm banana- cinnamon bread pudding with
vanilla sauce, and assorted pastries and cookies. [/i]

We've enjoyed going to Tusker House for dinner several times, the food was good, plenty of items, a decent selection for vegetarians like Rusty mentioned.
The characters are cute. While there is a lot to choose from I don't know if I've been "WOW"-ed by any buffet, I like my food piping hot, I'm a little picky. We aren't usually buffet goers.
