tell me about travelex etc

i want to order my currency online....can travelex send it out to you or do you have to collect it from the airport?? also how far in advance can you order it before you collect it ( we still have 6 weeks to go)

Travelex online currency (ie the best Travelex rates), you pick up from the airport. You can collect them landside, so if you live near an airport and the rate is good, you can just make a special trip out there to pick upyour currency .

I believe that online fx deliver currency though, and they have similar rates to Travelex, as do Tiscali. There are more that I'm sure others will recommend. We always use Travelex though.

Hi Natalie
With Travelex you can only order up to 60 days in advance. I have just this morning received my secure delivery envelope from Online FX as I ordered my curreny through them as I prefer them being sent to me rather than collection.
The rates are very similar and I had no problems with online FX. We aren't going until October but with the Bank of England rate being reduced just wanted to be on the safe side.

Travelex is also 60 days in advance maximum. So if you're more than 60 days from your holiday, you either have to wait to order, or just make an extra trip to your nearest local airport! Used them many times myself and they promise NEVER to be beaten on rate.

Hi if you order through www.1stholidaystore.co.uk/foreigncurrency.htm and type in 'free delivery' in the promotion code/ID box they deliver for nothing. They use online fx so the rates are very good. I recently ordered my currency at a rate better than Travelex and got it delivered to my door for nothing!
