I need to know all the info you wonderful Dis'ers can give me on the TiW card. Where do I buy it? Do I have to buy it when I buy my AP card? What restaurants participate? Did I read that an 18% grat is auto added?

You may purchase the TiW card at guest services as long as you have an active AP. It is good at virtualy all Disney operated table service restaurants, lounges, and counter service in AK and value resorts.

An 18% gratuity is auto added at TS and lounges, not the few counter service venues that accept the card.

Basically, you are saving the amount of the tip and some tax, assuming you'd normally tip in the 15% to 20% range. But that can add-up quickly.

Yup... 20% savings, and that includes booze! Even if you just go for a drink at the bar..
It includes Vero Beach restaurants and the Green Cabin Room at Vero! Not sure about HH.

It does cost $75, but we save MUCH more than that every year.
There are also some other benefits such as free valet parking for dinner, free theme park parking for dinner (not a big deal for AP holders).

There is a phone number for TiW, but I think you need to have an AP, or at least the voucher before you can purchase. It can also be purchased at any theme park Guest Relations or Downtown Disney.

As noted, 20% off food and drink (including alcohol) at essentially every table service or buffet WDW park and resort restaurant plus usuable at some counter services at AK (no tip included there). Here is a list of restaruants that accept it (noteworthy is that the restaurants in Japan do not take it): http://allears.net/din/tiwlist.htm. 18% tip is automatically added at the table sevice and buffet restaurants and it is added to the amount after the discount is already taken off, e.g., a $100 tab becomes $80 and then add $14.40 for the 18% tip on the $80. Restrictions: can't be used on holidays although can be used during holiday weeks just not the holiday. You get free valet parking (tipping is extra) at all WDW resorts (not just DVC) that have valet if you are going to a restaurant at that resort.

One card is $75. If you need a second (if you may not all be eating together all the time) it costs another $50 to get the second card.

Need AP but AP can be well into year, e.g., you can buy it if you have an AP that is approaching expiration. The card is good for a year. You can call and order in advance and specify a start month that is a month away from time you call (e.g., can call in early April and have it start in May) and have it sent to you. Simpler is just to purchase at a Guest Services at the parks when you first get there.
