I've never been to WOC but from reading old threads it seems like it's really hard to get a good view so what's my best plan so that my small children can see it? Book a dining package? Does it matter which one or what time? Thank you!

Check the WoC Superthread, lots of good info in there.

Agree. Start there. I saw WOC for the first time last Aug after an AG dinning package. Things I would add based on our experience: 1) CMs had us stand in the waterfront area so there wasn't much of advantage for those who showed up crazy early (except for the short people along the rail), 2) Don't be deterred by the "Wet" zones. Yes you get a little mist but ponchos are a little ridiculous in the arid Anaheim locale, and 3) I glad we braved the crowds for it, once, but I don't intend to see it again- a lot of cool effects but more of a “greatest hits album” than a story, unlike F! which is a must-do every trip.

I have had the same experience as you after 3 times at the front rail of the wet zone. But I know from reading from others that just because you and I have not gotten wet does not mean others will not. It is quite possible to get drenched in the wet zone if the wind blows the right direction.

Actually, I should be completely honest and say that my DD5 got an errant fountain to the face, so while everyone else got a little mist, she was soaked. A poncho wouldn't have helped, though, so... :)

We like the Carthay Circle area when we do the package. There are less people in that area and easier to get a rail if you arrive early. Also, we like to go to the second show which has even less people. But that might be too late if you have small children.

We did it last spring break with our DD who was five at the time. It was well worth it compared to the other times we were farther back.

The Carthay Circle Dining package is great! We love that area and my DD has loved that spot from 2 to 4yrs old.

You don't have to stand waiting which is a bonus with little ones and you are at a risen stage ;)

I have done this package twice now and have always had to wait standing in line (although onc ein line you can sit in the ground) and am not aware of a "risen stage".

So I am confused by your experience. Can you elaborate?

I have always just walked into the area and stood no problem about 10minutes before the show started. And we were in the roped off area that is a platform so you are slightly above the rows in front of you and directly in front of Ariel's ride.

I would say I've done that section 3 different times. But I haven't since Dec 2012 so maybe it's changed? I remember the Fast Passes saying Premium Dining VIP. I DID once go in CC and trade the WOC FP's for another time so maybe they gave me other tickets?

I could also have just been accidentally walking into a VIP area and never was caught :confused3

I remember it was a slight platform because I'm only 5feet tall and saw with people in front of me just fine. And my husband is 6'6" and no one in our section complained about his height.

We're going in Dec again for the VIP Tour and I'll ask if I was just going in the wrong section..:)

Wow, I can only guess that is a VIP area and you wer ento supposed to be there? I have never seen a stage of any kind in the WOC area.

And seeing WOC with only a 10 minute wait? With a good view? I cannot imagine that. I have never seen anything like that after seeing WOC about 15 times now. But if you have a secret strategy then I hope it continues to work for you!
