Tell Me About The Wiggles (Update page 4)

OK so we would just get roses like from the florist at the grocery store and take them with us to the show? And a bone from the pet sections at say Wal-Mart?

Do they go around and collect every single rose and bone or just some?

After the show, everyone can go near the stage and shake the Wiggles hands?

I want to make sure I understand and we don't miss out on any fun! I've been working for almost 3 months sewing special outfits for dd2 twins to wear to the show!

I brought my son to the Worcester Ma show this past Friday. We had floor seats and in the back so when the Capitan Murray and Jeff came around they were right there. As far as the roses and bones none of the wiggles picked them up, could be different and each show. We have been to 2 shows and by far the first one was the best, the songs were a lot better this past October. It's still a great show!!

Mono rail - the roses can be real or fake. It doesn't matter. I have read that they deliver the real ones to nearby hospitals or similar places.

I saw people with real roses and artificial roses. I would probably just get fake ones from Wal Mart. Some people had a whole bunch and some had a single rose. Not all 4 Wiggles will leave the stage to collect them. If I remember correctly Captain & Jeff collected roses with a couple of dancers and then Murray, Anthony, & dancers collected the bones. There is no guarantee that they'll collect your rose, they actually ask that if they don't get to you, leave it in your seat & they'll get them after the show. Same as the bones for Wags. They really did spend a lot of time in the audience and with special outfits I'm sure they'll spot you. If you have floor seats you'll be able to get to the stage at the end. We were in row 6 and as soon as the let the confetti fall from the ceiling I grabbed DS and headed right to the stage. No one tried to stop me and I put him right on the edge.

MAKE A SIGN!!! A bright colored sign with We Love The Wiggles X's 2 or something creative to draw attention to you. They read all of the signs they can see. Put the girls names on it, something, anything. I saw your original outfits on the boutique thread and know it's been a rough project so make sure to draw attention to the girls!

Our seats are not on the floor. All those were gone, and I bought the tickets the day after they had gone on sale. Well, there were still a few scattered seats left, but we needed 4 together.

Our seats are in section 114 row 5. Click this link to see the floor map. http://www.toyotacentertix.com/seating/special12.html

It looks like we might get to our seats from the floor and not from the stands. Not sure though because I've never been to the Houston Toyota Center before. :confused3 I bought those seats though because it looked like there was a strong possibility that our seats could be accessed from the floor. Make sense?

Thanks for the tip to make the sign! I'm almost done with the shirts. I've got the stitching on the appliques done. Actually, I just finished about 10 min ago! :faint: I've got to get the shirts finished and then adjust the waist of the pants.

I'm making special corker bows for their hair. :cutie: :cutie: Those should only take me a morning to complete. ETA: They have long curly hair so I'm planning to put the top half of their hair up in two ponytails then putting a corker bow by each ponytail! They look outrageously cute when I fix it like that! (Madeline was picked from the audience at Festival of the Lion King at AK when she was wearing a custom dress and her hair that way. Lydia was in a bad mood so they left her alone and didn't try to get her to go out.)

I've got tons of scrapbooking stuff so I can make a really cool sign!

I'm such a spaz. I've been having daydreams about the Wiggles seeing their special outfits and ooohing and aaahhing over them! (especially Murray!) ETA: I know it is likely not going to happen, but let me have my fantasy!

I had to find my memory card with our pictures on it and realized how much fun we really had. DH was the camera man and did a wonderful job. You can take your camera in but not a video camera. Some people were using their phones.

They entered the stage in THE BIG RED CAR!!!

Jeff collected roses and shook DS's hand!!! My fault we didn't take flowers. :guilty:

Anthony was talking to the little ones in front of us.

On our way to the stage. DS got to touch Anthony & Murray, he'll tell anybody about it even complete strangers! I turned to DH to make sure he caught it and he was sadly just shaking his head no. I was pretty upset but there were a lot of people and the timing was off. That's my long brown ponytail.

I know exactly what you mean and if you're right the seats will be great! They had it set up that way at the show we went to in the fall. By just looking at a seating chart on-line it makes it seem far from the stage but it's not the case in person. We needed 5 tix for the Detroit show and all of the floor seats were sold out in 10 minutes so we're in the first section off the floor this time. I may be just as excited as DS2!!! I didn't make him an outfit for this. :sad2: I've been working on our Disney customs for NOV and with any cooperation from DD5 I'll post some pics in the boutique thread this afternoon.

Finish up your outfits & bows and then get to work on a sign. I think yours should say "I'll Wiggle with Murray!" LOL Then make one for the girls too.

Oh, my! I like it! I'd hate to get hauled out of there for indecency! :ssst: :lmao:

We took our dd when she was 16 months old. I knew she would love to dance with the other kids around her, but I didn't think she would "get" what was going on. I was so wrong! LOL She knew the Wiggles were up there and she actually cried when they left the stage. :goodvibes She had a blast and actually so did Dh and I. That was probably one of the best family things we have done together.

We saw the Wiggles put on a short concert at Six Flags Great Adventure in NJ. It was to celebrate the opening of the new "Wiggles World" section of the park. The $10 ticket cost was a fund raiser, and I think they sold about 3,000 tickets. Prior to the show, the Wiggles rode down the main street for a parade. We were standing right in front when they came by (except that Murray was on the other side of the vehicle). To be honest, Anthony and Jeff look OLD! Lots of grey hair! But, those grey haired Aussies are laughing all the way to the bank. Sam did a very good job, as Greg's replacement. Jeff and Murray went out into the crowd durnig this show.
By the way, the Wiggles World Section of the park is great. Although the Wiggles themselves aren't there, you can find Wiggly dancers, Wags, Dorothy, Henry, and Capt. Feathersword in a show they have several times each day.

Anybody know someone that would be interested in tickets for Richmond this thursday? third row back aisle seats!!!

I would love to take them off your hands but a 9 hour drive would be a little rough on me! You could do a one day listing on Ebay and try to sell them. Check it out and maybe that'll work out for you. I hope you can find someone!

I sold them on Craigslist!!

OHHH! Nice job! No Ebay fees. I always forget about Craigslist. I'm glad you won't be out the money now and you can buy a souvenier at the show. That's way better than 2 unused tickets. Have a FANTABULOUS time! :yay:

Thank you all for your tips!! I know this is off topic, but would you take a 3 and a 5 year old to Disney by yourself?

I took a 8 month old, 4, 5 and 8 year old to Disney by myself. Technically I had my cousin there, but she had her kids with her. It was fun.

Hello,
The show may be a little different here compared to where you are,but i didnt find it overly loud.We took our 6yr daughter and 2yr daughter. Our 2yr old never sat down once, she knows all the moves to the songs(just like mummy:laughing: )Others have suggested taking a bone for wags, roses for dorothy(which we did,the dancers came and got these-Ben is my favourite wiggle dancer:love: ).Not alot of people think to take a bag of fruit salad for Anthony:love: : the hot wiggle. This a sure fire way of getting up close and personal with the man himself!!!.When we went we were the only ones who done this,we went to the front of the stage after he sang the Fruit Salad song, and my little one gave him the fruit,he chatted to us and shook my hand(a kiss would have been better thou).
They all come down in the audience apart from Sam the new wiggle,Captain Feathersword patted my girls on there heads as he ran past(we had an aisle seat-always the best).
Anyway have fun, youre little one will love it.x.

... To be honest, Anthony and Jeff look OLD!...

Jeff is 54!! Can you believe that? There was an article about Sam in the paper this weekend because they'll be here this week and it mentioned that Sam's the youngest at 29 (I think) and Jeff is the oldest at 54.

We've been to two Wiggles concerts - in 2003 and 2005. They really are a lot of fun. There's even a fair amount of humor in it for the adults.

And for the record, Captain Feathersword is the hot one :thumbsup2
