I'm taking my 14 month-old son to the Wiggles concert next week. What can I expect? Will it be extremely loud? Do you think my DS will enjoy it at this age? Thanks for the info!:)

My son is 11 months old, and he loves the wiggles, but that is because he's been exposed to them. Has your son ever seen the show before? Granted, my son only watches them on Sat mornings when mommy needs a little break :)

All the wiggles do is sing and dance....a lot! They have different friends come on stage for different things.

I think he will like them. I've never been to a concert, but most concerts are on the louder side of things. My son is fascinated with loud noises, though, so maybe it won't be bad for your little one.

i hope you have fun!

I took my son when he was around 2 and he was mesmerized. It wasn't loud like a rock concert, but it was louder than you'd probably have your tv. This was about 3 years ago, but they had a bunch of these huge blow up ballon type things on the stage, all bright colors, great for kids. Some of the other characters were there - Henry, Dorothy, etc. The Wiggles themselves came out into the audience - even way up in the nosebleed seats where we were! So, we got to see Jeff up close! They collected roses for Dorothy the dinosaur. It was a great show and my son really enjoyed it!

They put on a very good show. We have been 3 times. Be sure to bring roses for Dorothy and a bone for wags. Both are great opportunities for your child to get up close to one of the Wiggles or one of the dancers.

And I didn't think it way too loud. A little loud but not too bad.

Have fun!!

Sandra

We've seen the wiggles twice. Once when my son was 2 and then when he was 3. We had a blast. I'm glad my son has outgrown the wiggles since Greg is no longer performing. But that Anthony is way hot.

Anthony (the blue wiggle) has got to be the hottest man alive...I even put his picture up in the nurses lounge at work...LOL...wowsa...enjoy the show...

we took our ds when he was 16months. He sat in my dh's lap through the entire show completely mesmerized. We had very good seats and Jeff came right up to us, he was collecting roses for Dorothy. It was a fun show:)

Thanks for the tips. I will defiantly bring roses for Dorothy. Bring a regular dog bone for Wags or a chew toy bone? I suppose it doesn't matter.

My DS is obsessed with the Wiggles. It is the only thing he cares about on TV. :happytv: I bought floor seats half way back so hopefully we will be able to see. I've been to adult concerts where visibility is a problem with the floor seats because they aren't stacked like the surrounding seats.

So it's Anthony that is the "hot" one?! I keep hearing people mention the "hot" Wiggle and I didn't have a clue. None of the Wiggles do it for me:laughing:

We are going to see the Wiggles next week and I can not wait to see my son. He is absolutley in love with them. He has started to watch other shows (thomas) but the wiggles are still our favorite. I can not figure out why why kids like Thomas. The narration is so boring. My mom turned him on to Thomas because she was sick of the wiggles.

The Wiggles concerts are great for children and adults alike!:cheer2: Anthony collected our roses last time!! :cool1:

GREAT show!!! We had floor seats and DD was up dancing the whole time. Its a pleasant level of "loud" if that makes sense. I think you should go and have a great time. I saw LOTS of little ones there having a bunch of fun!:cool1:

What to do with extra Wiggles tickets? I purchased two extra tickets for a friend and she backed out of the concert. What can I do with the tickets? I got them from ticketmaster. The seats are amazing!! They are in the third row on the aisle Seats 1 and 2!! I dont want to be out all that money!!!
Please help!!
Heather

Get the word out that you have tickets! Anyone with a toddler/preschooler will want them. Heck, I want them - do you live in MA?

I took my daughter when she was 3 and my 1 month-old baby to see them - they WERE AWESOME! The concert is not long; they have kept in mind young children's span of attention. They interact with the audience and they were not loud. The loudest part was the kids screaming with excitement at the beginning.

But I would do it again if I got the chance. My daughter loved it and my baby slept through most of it.

Have a GREAT time! Get there early so you can look at the souveniers and not have to fight a big crowd getting to your seat!
:dance3:

The concert is this thursday Aug 9th at 3pm in Richmond, VA. Anybody interested or know someone who is send me a PM!!

I've seen several posts that say something about about a Wiggle collecting their roses. Could someone please give more details about the roses?:flower3:

I will admit that I'm in love with the Wiggles! I've seen the DVD's so many times that I can actually dance along. It's not a pretty sight! :rotfl: but I do know all the moves. Better than any aerobics class for sure!

We went to see the Wiggles last year and it was incredible! DS was 2 and has been intrigued by them since before he could walk. We told him we were going to see them and he just didn't understand until the show started. The Wiggles hit the stage in their Big Red Car and I thought he was going to fall over. The look on his face was priceless! I now have a DS1 that loves them and is starting to sing & dance along. The Wiggles are a big part of our day.

As far as the roses for Dorothy and bones for Wags we didn't take any and I felt afterwards we should have. The Wiggles & dancers come out into the audience to collect them from the children during the show. If you have the Wiggly Dancin' in the USA DVD or Hot Potato Live in Sydney DVD it's similar to that where they hop off stage to collect the stuff. We had floor seats and got to see Captain standing right next to me and Jeff shook DS's hand while Murray ran off to the nose bleeds. Next time I will take roses & bones. At the end of the show we walked right up to the stage and he got to shake hands with Murray and high five Anthony.

The worst part of our show was finding out when we got there that Greg was ill and had to go home, that Sam was filling in and then Sam was great, perfect, amazing and DS never questioned it. He is the perfect replacement for Greg and hasn't changed the Wiggles at all. He's really easy on the eyes too if you KWIM!?!? If you really must spend an hour and a half with your little one at a Wiggles show...Sam will make it much easier on you!

To all who have tickets and will be enjoying some wiggly dancing this fall, have an awesome time. It's really worth the money, time, and most importantly the look on your little ones face(s). We'll be in Detroit in less than 2 weeks! WHOO HOO!!
