Hi,

Trying for SSR in Sept. Might think about going to the Spa. What are your experiences? I know members get a discount, is it worth it?

Thanks!
Allison

HI Allison

My friend and I had a pedicure at SSR spa in September. It was expensive, even with the member discount, but it was worth every single penny. We sat beside each other in heated vibrating chairs while our pedicures were done. The locker room is beautiful too, lots of gorgeous scented lotion and shower gels and shampoo to use, there is a sauna and spa to use in there before your treatment. You get a locker, robe and slippers. The ladies lounge has fresh fruit, cool water and teas. It is a splurge but very worthwhile IMHO. I did not use the gym but I saw it, it is state of the art.

Check out www.relaxedyet.com for the treatments.

I have been there twice now. First time I got a massage and Spa pedicure. The discount did help since it is a little more money. Second time I got the Spa pedicure because of little time and it is the best! I think it was $52.00 for the 50 min pedicure. You get more than your usual pedicure believe me!Both times I got their early and used the hot tub to relax first. They have a shower area, changing rooms near lockers and finishing area to do your hair and makeup. Just a tip but you can also be able to use the spa and fitness gym through out that day once your treatment is over. It is a special treat for me and I recommend it highly! Go for it! :cheer2:
BTW, I love your Johnny Depp pictures!
Did you hear about Pirates II and III being filming this month? pirate:

I was there on Feb 1 and had the Maple Brown Sugar Body Polish. It was TO DIE FOR!! I would do it again in a heartbeat, regardless of the price. This was my third trip back, first time I had just a pedicure, second time, pedi and pregnancy massage. Can you tell I'm getting addicted?

I am a Depp fan too but I think Orlando is h -o- t! Heehee
Too funny I know. :rotfl2:

I had the reflexology session in January. It was was sooo relaxing :cloud9:

I agree the prices seemed abit steep but considering it is a luxery spa on Dis property, Im sure the prices are within reason.

One thing, I didnt like was once I was in my robe, slippers etc. I had to wait in the lounge with other women & men! That didnt seem exactly right to me.

Overall experience, I will be going again the next time Im home...and Im thinking of the mom & daughter 1st manicure or pedicure.

Enjoy

LOL! This caught me by surprise too! :rotfl: I was glad my robe fit! In Vegas they walk around naked but they do have separate areas for men and women.

I really enjoyed my spa visit last year. I will definitely go back this year.

For those that are a little more modest, the ladies locker room has a nice sitting area where Im sure they will allow you to relax and wait for your services. Just let the attendant know where you are.
