I know my daughter will need a break walking to and from the park- she's an asthmatic and we usually take a stroller to give her a break. I won't have one this time, so I'm thinking the rickshaws might be the way to go. Can you tell me more about them? i know we can take the boat, but from what I've read- they can be really slow.

The rickshaw guys tend to be stationed all over, but are sometimes hit or miss. We stayed at RPR and there was generally one on the path close to the security guard checkpoint just beyond Margaritaville. But I never saw one near the hotel when we were there.

I also saw them transporting people around the lake from IOA to US to Citywalk.

They work for tips only. And the more they carry, the harder they work.

There are boats as well as buses, but we do prefer to walk.

Mom took the Rickshaws pretty much on every trip back to the hotel and once to the park in the morning. She would ride with my sister and DD (7) and usually tipped about $5 per trip.

I don't know what the going rate really is, we used them only once last year and we had $3 left on us in cash so that is what he got. We told him ahead of time and he was still like get on :)

We have seen them over by the boats getting people to use them instead and I have seen them go from one hotel to another too.
