is it a take out place, and is it ok to take back to bcv, tasty for a nite snack?

Last summer we had the pizza on the Boardwalk. It was pretty good, we grabbed a table outside and watched the entertainment while we ate.

we had pizza on the boardwalk and weren't too fond of it. i guess it's because we're from jersey and are used to our style pizza that we weren't too fond of the boardwalk's pizza.

My son, 16, loves it!!! I've never tried it myself but it looks good :flower:

there is a window to order the pizza, and you can take it back to your room, or sit on the Boardwalk to eat. Cafe style tables are there for anyone to use.

The pizza is done at Spoodles and is a walk up window. My son loved the pizza. I never tried it. I would always order the meatball sandwich and that's so very yummy. Most times we took it back to the room. Or as others have said there are tables along the Boardwalk you can sit at and eat.

Take Care
Jamie

We've done that a few times. I go pick it up while the rest of the family swims in the Dunes Cove pool. When I get back with the pizza, I go out on the balcony and let them know the pizza is ready.

Pardon my french...it sucks. I grew up in NE Pa and we have a lot of Italian pizzerias (guess transplants from NY) and I love that kind of pizza. There's onlly one place in VA that I can find it. So Spoodles REALLY was yucky. It smells good, but I don't know if it's the sauce or the blend of cheeses they use. I spent $30 some dollars on 2 pies and all 6 of us didn't like it. That's JMO though...to each his/her own.

Oh you aren't the only one. BWV is my home resort, and the pizza at Spoodles...well...sucks. I've given up on pizza when in WDW.

The Pizza is less than average in our family's opinion, but it seems to be the only show in town at the boardwalk for Pizza. It is nice sitting by the water and taking in the sites.

I've gotten the take-out pizza a few times. I thought it was fine, especially when we also got a take out side salad. Yummy dark greens, and plenty for two to share.

I'm not that fussy about pizza, as long as it is not greasy. :crazy2: That has never been the case with the Spoodles pizzas I've had so far, so I've been satisfied. :)

it's, eh, okay, but only if you eat it immediately and don't let it get cold. If it gets cold, it's AWFUL.

when you go to wdw just forget about the pizza. It stinks everywhere.....
either have it before your trip or your first dinner when you get home

for us..
we always have pizza when we come back home.

SO.............DISNEY are you listening.....You have the ability to bring the best chefs into your facility..

why oh why can you not make a decent pizzza?

I'm from NY, so I'm a little biased. If you want traditional pizza, Disney isn't the best place. (Although Mama Melroses has some good flatbread pizzas and Wolfgang Puck Express I like).

That being said I was looking forward to the Boardwalk pizza when I went in April. When I ate it, it was not as good as I hoped for, but still better than the traditional theme park pizza. However, it still isn't good. If I had to give it a letter grade I'd give it a C- and the theme park pizza a D.

My humble opinion.

We eat at the window just about every trip. My husband is pizza addicted. No, it's not the best pizza but it's perfectly acceptable for the location and atmosphere. The individual slices are pretty big. You can order whole pizzas and take them wherever you want. They have plates, napkins, utensils, cheese and crushed red pepper packets outside the window so you can pick up as many of those as you need. They also have a meatball sandwich and salads as well. If you order a whole pie, you'll be given a buzzer that will go off when your pizza is ready.

Don't know about leftovers since if we order the whole thing, we never have any leftovers.

It's not the best pizza I've ever had but the atmosphere more that makes up for it.

DH & I LOVED the spoodles take out window. We're staying at the BC and can't wait to go back and have it again...it was our favorite pizza in Disney.

I was going to try a piece on a trip in March but stopped myself when I saw the tiny size of the pieces sitting by the window and the price of $3.25 each slice. I decided to go back to the Dolphin for some ice cream instead! :)

it's hit or miss on how good it is. Last year (oct) it was pretty good but this past May the cheese was so thick on it we couldn't find the pepperoni.

Hope you like cheese.
