I'm thinking of booking a cat 11 room. Please tell me if these rooms are cramped. There will be 2 adults, an 8 year old and a 2 year old.
Please tell me a little about these rooms.
Also, what kind of TV programs do you get in the room? And how big is the TV?

Hi, We didnt stay in a cat 11 but my brother & his family did (we travelled together) and we went to have a look. We stayed in cat 8 & the only difference i noticed was there was a mirror in cat 11 where our porthole in cat 8 was. cat 8 also had seperate toilet & cat 11 did not (toilet/bathroom one room). The actual size of the stateroom did not seem much different.
We have booked a cat 11 for our cruise in November, as we figured were not in it that much & would sooner spend the money on other things, although we only have one DD aged 10 (my brother had two DD's aged 7 & 12). My only worry is feeling closed in with no porthole.
If your planning spending some time in your room you may be better upgrading, i noticed you have quite a young family, depends on your needs, hope this helps.:teeth:

We have sailed in a Cat 11 with 4 adults and while 4 adults (3 being girls) was a little cramped it was not an issue. We had plenty of room.

I like the cat 10 and higher rooms only because of the split bathroom (toilet/sink in one room, shower/sink in a seperate room...cat 11 is all one bathroom as the other poster stated).

I don't think it would be cramped for you having two little ones, just might have to fight for the bathroom :)

Is the bathroom very small?
I see very little fighting over the bathroom. Being the only female in our party of 4, I can say that I've never had a problem at home.
My boys are very quick in the bathroom.

We sailed last Sept in cat 11 on the 4 night Wonder, but we were only 2 adults. We had no problems whatsoever, and if your family doesn't have issues sharing bathroom time, I would say that cat 11 would be a good choice.
My big thing is always "how much time are we really going to spend in the room anyway?" Since my answer to this is "Not much.", cat 11 is a good choice, because the $$ I save can be used for other fun things, like excursions and shopping!
Since you have a little one who will probably need the occasional nap, you may be spending a little more time in your room than I did. But one plus to that is the inside rooms are really dark! (day or night) so I've heard from other posters with small children that this makes for a really peaceful naptime! ;)
If you had said that there were 4 adults or 2 adults and 2 much older children, I would hesitate to get cat 11. But for you, I think it would work just fine.
:wave2:

About the TV..

It's a 13" TV, so not terribly big. I think all the rooms have the same size TVs. Sometimes it varies, but you can count on about 2 channels of all Disney animated movies, another 4 or so of movies produced by Disney, CNN, Disney Channel, sometimes ESPN, and some network coverage.

But hopefully, the only time you'll need the TV is at night, because the rest of the time you'll be out enjoying the ship! Cat 11 is a great way to go and still have plenty left for souvenirs.

We stayed in a CAt 11 in may. There were 2 adults and 2 girls and it didn't feel cramped at all. BTW my girls are 6 and 3.

Hope this helps.

We stayed in a cat 11 (3 of usin July) and thought it was great. AS far as the tv.. they also have a couple tv stations that play disney movies all day (beauty and the beast, pinochio, tarzan..) and a couple that play more adult disney movies (ie win a date with , 50 first dates, hidalgo). We plopped the DS in front while we got ready. Try for aft deck 7. If it gets cramped you can go out back on the aft deck.

Have a great time
