Tell me about the BWV BW view?

I FINALLY got it! We're staying in a 1 BR the first week in January. Any particular requests I should make? I'm a little nervous about some posts I've seen about late night noise outside. Also, I was going to ask to be far from the elevators- DS and I, no stroller-both adults, and we love to eat desserts, so we need a little more exercise walking from our room. Where are we likely to be if we ask for "far from elevators"? Any particularly bad rooms? Also, I'm still on the waiting list for the first night, right now I have a garden/pool view that first night. What do you think my chances are for the waitlist to come through for that one night(1/2)? I'm so excited about this!

The boardwalk view is awesome !!! I asked for "upper floor" last Jan. and we were on the top floor - in the Crest of the Wave building - we were pretty far from the elevators, but no problem for us, either- the further away from the elevators you get, the further down the b/walk towards the clubs you are. From the higher floor we had great views of Wishes over YC and Illuminations (just the high fireworks, but still beautiful). Once we closed our doors at night we heard very little noise at night - just one very loud group of women - but they were just laughing and having such a great time - that certainly didn't bother us for long. Hope your waitlist comes through - I reserved a BW view for my sister and her boys next month - I just can't wait until they see it - they've never even stayed on-site before !!

I can't answer all your questions, but I can tell you that the outside noise is not that big a deal. I was nervous about it at first, too, when I went, but even with a 2nd floor room right above the Screen Door, there was not alot of noise once the balcony doors were closed. They did a very good job of soundproofing those rooms!
