Tell me about pool view rooms at AKL Jambo

We are leaving in a month for a week in a pool view room at AKL Jambo House. We've never had a pool view room before, so I'm not sure what, if anything, I should be requesting.

Can anyone tell me most of the rooms are far or close from the elevators, are they all floors or just some floors, etc. Any special requests that are worth making? Thanks!

Are you staying with DVC pts or cash reservation? I didnt know that they had anything but a value room standard room or a savannah view room. Im going to be there in april. Originally had a standard studio with my DVC pts. But my waitlist for a value came through. On my request I asked for either a pool view/ lobby or an end room.

BTW, I'm currently working in Wayne at the moment. Man its pouring.

Funny! It's a small world!

We are not staying on DVC points - but you're right - I don't think they offer a pool view specifically when going through DVC but they do when going through a regular reservation.

Agh.I see...Personally i ve never been here but do like the rooms that are facing the lobby and then the balconies facing the pool.

Theres another thread on here that my sister and some of her DIS buddies run. Called AKL lite Never too late for number eight. Plenty of info on there and knowledgeable people will be able to help you out im sure

We stayed in a pool view room last year. We had a hot tub right outside our room. We were a hike from the lobby, but it was so quiet we didn't mind the walk.

Just got back yesterday from pool view at AKL, loved it. 4th floor on Zebra Trail.

We were just there last week. We had a pool view room on the Zebra trail, 4th floor. Great view and very close to the elevators/lobby. LOVED IT!!
