Anyone been? Got two kids and going in July. Would this be a good thing for ages 6 and 9?

Hi,

We just got back, we were at Disney MGM on Tuesday.

Your 6 year old will like it alot, the 9 year old will be a little old for it. Maybe you can split up and take your 6 year old while someone else takes the 9 year old on something more exciting or "grown up".

Although, my 2 sons, ages 10 and 12 had to sit through it!! They were bored to tears, but that's because they really really felt silly being in there with Bear in the Big Blue House!!

It's a cute show, with alot of Playhouse Disney characters on the stage.

Also note, during the show, you sit ON the Floor! And, we got turned away twice because we didn't get in line soon enough. You need to be there at least 45 minutes before the show.

...or you might want to check the park info when you get to MGM and see the first showing of the day. We grabbed a Fast Pass for the Little Mermaid show, then went over and caught the first showing of Playhouse Disney. The line wasn't very long, and many people, including us, walked right on in with no wait at all.

Bear and all his friends, Stanley, Roly Poly Olie (and his sis I believe) appear too -- I've heard JoJo is in it now too? It seemed to go by quick... we happened to walk right in this past March-- had seats in the back, but it was okay. If you are pressed for time though and your kids aren't really into the Playhouse Disney a.m. shows, you could probably skip this -- on the other hand, if they LOVE these characters, this is THE place to see them!

Our DD has seen this at ages 2,3 &4 and she will be 6 this year and she is really looking forward to seeing this show again.

She is starting to get away from the shows that are featured, but the show is cute and fun and that is why she enjoys seeing it year after year.

My 47 year old DH even loved it! Oh, and he's the one that always says he doesn't want to go to WDW. Yet for some reason he always seems to be sitting next to me on the plane....LOL

I agree with dixielander, your 9-year-old may be bored, but the 6-year-old will probably like it. Our DD5 loved it at 3 and 4 (so did I, but my foot kept falling asleep from sitting on the floor!). They get to sing and dance, some bubbles fall from above and best of all, they're really close to their favorite Playhouse Disney characters! It's really cute and lots of fun for little ones.

My kids loved it. The younger ones really got into it and even the older boys(8 & 9 yrs old) enjoyed it because it was the first time they saw it - they know all the shows because their sisters watch them on Disney in the morning.

It is a fun, happy, upbeat show with the characters - Bear, RolliePollie, Stanley and Pooh all singing and dancing. I really enjoyed it too!

Don't try to sit up front!! THe characters are small/short and the closer to the front you are, the harder they are to see, because they don't come up to the edge of the stage. Sit in the middle to the back of any section and you will be just fine!...............P
