In all the times we have been to WDW, we have never been to this restaurant! We will be having an anniversary dinner at Cali Grill, but we were thinking of trying this restaurant too.

First of all, how is the food? I have read a few recent reviews and people seemed to love it! Next, will it be too much if we are already doing CG?

Thanks!

I think Narcoossee's is WDW's best kept secret. I had the best meal of my trip last week here. I don't think it will be too much to go here and to CG. Narcoossee's gives you much bigger portions than CG does. You don't have to order 4 courses to get filled up. Give it a try!::yes::

Our thing we started a few trips ago, is trying a new restaurant each time. When we were there in April we went to Narcoossee's. It was amazing!! We had a fantastic meal from the drinks with the super nice (and super cute;) ) bartender Charlie. So friendly, my DH and I and our son had such a fun time talking to him. The food was wonderful and the atmosphere can't be beat. The sunset views are best on property as well.

We loved it and we will be heading back again:D

We loved it! They have the all time best dessert at WDW. I cant remember what its called but it was this cheesecake patty rolled in almonds! O M G!

Hate to put a damper on things, but I thought it was just okay. The best part was seeing Wishes from the deck. I only had soup and a caesar salad but even those weren't great. We had a big table of kids next to us who kept getting up and running around (certainly not the restaurant's fault). My husband had an entree that was fine, but not spectacular. Our drinks were good, and, again, I really appreciated that they timed things so that we could go out and see Wishes - and hear the music.

My husband and I really enjoyed Narcoosees. Make sure that you make your PS to coincide with the MK fireworks!

I would have agreed with this poster if I hadn't eaten at Narcoosee's for the second time about a month ago. The chef has changed; the menu and service are now outstanding, on par with Citricos, Flying Fish, and California Grill. And I was a skeptic after a good-not-excellent meal in March 2003.

If I can find my review, I'll bump it up or PM to you!

Well, if the chef has changed since we ate there in dec then I might try it again, but I'll have to be a damper for my experience too. It wasn't the money, I wasn't comparing that or the fact that it's not much food that you get. That place is not all about the amount for the buck...but I just didn't like the lack of variety of food for people that don't like fish and seafood. So much of it was revolving around that. then the few things that were for land lubbers had things that I personally wasn't fond of like muchrooms and such. Things atht would spoil the whole idea of the entree to take off. Now I know I'm more on the picky side than not but at most of the other high end resteraunts (besides the CA Grill) I was able to find things I liked. SOOOO, in my own personal experience, I was disappointed.
And if you want quiet or intimate...Narcoosee's is not it.

On the brighter side is my hubby LOVES seafood and LOVED the food. So there.
None of us liked the loud noise though.

MHO

ABSOLUTELY

We found this little restaurant quite by accident some twelve years ago. Except for a few years when they experimented with a different menu, we have eaten there at least once each yearly trip.

Last year we were seven, ordered two shrimp, two muscle , one each of the others, and the scallops (not on menu) as appetizers. Waiter was wonderful about everything. Food was outstanding. There were two lobsters, salmon filets, beef filets, crab cakes, side dishes all done to perfection. We then ordered one each of the deserts, before reordering our favorites.

Can not say enough about the staff, or the quality of the meals. So much so we went back five nights later, ordered our second favorite entrees and enjoyed it every bit as much.

Tartaglias at WLV:earseek:

We loved it! DH said his fish there was better than at Flying Fish - and my steak was definitely the best the entire trip. (And I ate steak everywhere!) We got a window seat and DH really enjoyed watching the castle change colors. (It was his first trip, so I let him face the park.)

One thing to factor into the cost, though, is valet parking. The regular resort parking is a LOOONG walk! Valet made it so much easier. (And I'm not usually a proponent of spending money to make my life easier! :p )

Wow! Thanks for all the good reports. We have reservations next month for our anniversary. I let my DH pick out the restaurant and he picked Narcoossee's because of the location. We could have eaten anywhere (incluing V&A's), but he picked Narcoossee's. Our DD will be spending the evening with Peter Pan and Wendy over at the Polynesian :).

Any advice how to get PS's for Narcoosee's timed so you can see Wishes from their deck? Any tips are greatly appreciated!! Ely:sunny:

I looked at the potential Wishes schedule and made my PS for 90 minutes before. Then, they changed the MK's hours to close 30 minutes earlier . We're keeping the PS where it is and we're checking in early.
