Tell me about mid-June ...

I am a second grade teacher and I would agree that considering the amount of time your son has missed already this year, I would not pull him again.

We went June 5-12 last year. More crowded than our May 2017 trip, but it wasn’t bad. We worked our Fastpasses and basically never waited more than 20 minutes for anything. No or very short lines at food stands etc. Rope drops were definitely busier, but we managed to successfully get on all our “rope drop” rides walk-on.

But it was sooooo hot. Granted, it was a heat wave. I would never do June again. I feel like our whole trip we were rushing around to get in the park, out, ride to ride and not die lol. That’s even with fans, cooling towels, hats etc. I feel like we couldn’t just enjoy ourselves/people watch/take it in. If we ever go again it will be a different time.
These are basically my dates for this year (ish) so I am pleased to hear it's not too busy. We normally go at Christmas, so, am sure the weather will be an adventure for me, and my british bones, we'll see...

We have been mid-June and while it is hot, the humidity is lower than July and August and you can breathe! It did rain almost every afternoon even if only for a few minutes. If you are accustomed to August heat/humidity I think you will find June more enjoyable than you are anticipating!

For a weather perspective, I've been to Disney in both June and August. August was less crowded, but the humidity was horrendous. Envision people on the floor of the air-conditioned gift shops of Epcot. June, while still hot, was nowhere near as humid. Although it's very hard to predict the weather these days. Our neighbors went in October and had a rough time with the heat.

My wife and I went last June for a week and had a blast. We found the crowds to be lower compared to our other 4 trips that year (April, August, Nov twice). We have no issues picking up extra fast passes and working the crowds.

Yes it was hot but nothing life changing (live in SC). I carried a backpack and we rotated drinking water and Gatorade all day.

We didn’t experience any rain, booked late lunch or early dinner to get out of the heat for a little while.

Pull him out of school. There is SO much to be learned with traveling, and so much gained with being with your family. My kids are pulled every year for some vacation or another (oldest is a sophomore, youngest is kindergarten). I have NO regrets, and my kids travel like champs!

Go in June and have a great time. I am a teacher and have always gone in June. Going this year June 14 - 20 then off to Universal for 3 nights. It has never been horrible and hit or miss on rain. Just plan your days correctly and it’ll be fantastic!
