Is it worth it to pay extra for the party? How much extra is it? What do they do and are the rides open still? If you don't do the party do they still have the wishes fireworks before you have to leave the park so they can have the party? Thanks!

"Worth" is very subjective. Many people love the hard ticket parties and maby think it is not worth it. Ticket prices vary based on when you would go. You can google/check Disney's website and find the price for specific days.

The rides are open. They have some different character and greets going, the christmas parades, special fireworks, cookies, and special shows.

Typica Wishes will not be held on the nights of MVMCP. They will do the holiday wishes fireworks but it's during the actual party. So if you don't attend, you would be limited to seeing them from someb where outside of the MK.

We went in 2013 and we loved it. We're doing the Halloween party this year, as well. I would suggest doing some research to decide if it's "worth it" for you

It is pricey but you can meet santa claus as well as some other special characters. Lines for characters do tend to get a little long and you have to time santa right because he leaves a little early to "get ready for the parade". It snows on main street, the parade is nice, and the fireworks are pretty amazing. More impressive than wishes.

Is it "worth it?" Well if you were going for one day and you chose to buy the party ticket and entered at 4 pm till 12 am, yes it's worth it (value wise). That being said we did it once and wouldn't do it again, we all thought we would love it but nobody even liked it. MNSSHP yes we would do it again in a heartbeat and we are more Christmas people than Halloween people... It had nothing to do with crowds or cookies vs. candy give away (candy was better), it was just the general party feel. The run the party roughly ever other night and do wishes on the non party night.

Agreed that it is very subjective. For us, last year we went for our first time for all things Christmas related. We had been to the parks several times before but wanted the whole holidays at WDW experience. We loved the party. Is it pricey, yes....would we do it again though...yes.

Some will tell you that if you wait long enough into the season that a lot of the stuff available during the party filters in with everyday events. This is very true, but with my job I am unable to travel closer to Christmas.

Some of my Disney bucket list characters who are not easy to come by were doing m&gs during the party. We loved the parade (and the snow during it on Main Street). The fireworks were also nice but personally original Wishes is one of my favorite things about going to Disney so I will always like that better.

I would say if you can swing it financially go for it. If you want to do m&gs look at tips as it is better to hop in line for some at certain times. Enjoy!
