Tell me about May please

For the first time we are doing a trip in the spring, in 2018. We own at OKW and BWV. We love both resorts equally and enjoy the amenities at both.

Which is better to stay during this time of year? Is one easier to book? We usually do a 1BR.

Is there a resort we may want to try and snag at the 7 month window for any special reason during the spring?

Are there weeks we should avoid other than Memorial Day weekend? Anything we should make sure not to miss?

BWV for epcot flower and garden. Early to mid May can have reasonable temperatures.

One random thing to be aware of is the love bugs. They don't bite but they can be a nuisance if you are unlucky and go when they are active.

I would try to get a BW unit, especially if you go to the F&G fest. OKW will be doing a major referb from this summer, 2017 until 2019. They will be taking building by building out of service to remodel, may have noise if you're close to a referb building. They are doing the main pool now, so that will be available to use. Crowds are light to moderate in May, just a bit more than Oct/Nov levels. Temps are low-mid 80s, not much rain, lower humidity. One of our favorite time to go.
