Tell me about Magic Kingdom 7am EMH

what is your experience with Magic Kingdom early morning magic hours?
Current posted hours for that day are EMH 7-8 and regular park hours 8- midnight.

We already know the park is going to be crazy busy (first week of April). So any advantage we can take we are going to try and make the best of it. My family thinks I’m crazy for trying this, but they are willing to go with the flow. - it’s not too much earlier than our normal up for school routine

1. How much earlier do you need to be there for “rope drop”. I’m not sure we can manage much though!
2. I’m assuming monrail will be running? Staying at the Poly
3. Did you feel like you got enough done it that hour to make it worth the time?

I have a few Times Guides sitting here in a pile on my desk that have recent dates with 7AM MK EMHs (around NYE and Thanksgiving). In both cases, the monorail hours show 6:30AM start times. Monorail hours can and do change so best to always consult the current week's Times Guide (http://www.orlandoparksnews.com/2018/02/weekly-walt-disney-world-times-guides_26.html), but that's been the latest trend.

I am not exactly an EMH fan, except I make an exception for really early MK EMHs like that. 7AM MK EMHs are rare birds - I like to take advantage of them when/if possible.

We have done these and always found them to be worth it, if you’re able to deal with the early hour!

We have school age DD & DS who are always up early so we go for it.
