DH and I are going to the October 8th (my 25th birthday) MNSSHP and made reservations for LTT.
I've never been there and want to know what others think about it. Like how is the food?
The girl at Guest Relations at MK told us that the characters would be dressed in Halloween costumes. Which characters are there?

sorry, can't help with LTT as we're not eating there until Dec. I presume you've booked dinner, asking about chracter costumes, so have we!
I just wanted to wish you a Happy Birthday for the 8th - I'm 40 the same day but will be spending my birthday at Disneyland Paris (thanks to my honey) and having a character dinner at the Disneyland Hotel.

We ate at the LTT in May 07, and really enjoyed it. The food is kind of like a Thanksgiving dinner, very home-coooking and all, but it's kind of refreshing after all the junk food you eat. When we were there, the characters were in Revolutionary Costumes, but I don't know what they do for Halloween.

Have fun,
Lisa H

The food for dinner is soooooo good. It is one of my favorite places to eat dinner. As for costumes, I am not positive but I think they just wear masks.

We love LTT. Its become one of our favorite spots. The food is really good. The character interaction is great. Its Minnie, Pluto, Goofy and Chip & Dale.
We were there in Sept and they came by the table at least twice maybe three times. Its a smaller restaurant than other character meals I think.

We went in January for the first time and my 3 year old fell in LOVE with Chip and Dale. We were one of the latest seatings (like Wishes started when we were getting our check) and because we were there later and the restaurant wasnt as full...we had a LOT of character time. My daughter told Chip he was beautiful and so he pulled up a chair and played with her for a few minutes.

Thats fun that they are in costume for Halloween.

We were there on Tuesday night, and we loved it!! The food was surprisinlgy good. Turkey, ham, roast beef, mashed potatoes, green beans, stuffing, gravy, salad w/ strawberry dressing, rolls with honey butter, and apple cobler for dessert! YUM! Our waiter was great, refille our drinks without asking. The characters that were there were Minnie, Goofy, Pluto & Chip & dale. They were all great with the kids. The only down fall was our one year old loved the characters and would yell out laughing, and the lady next to us would roll her eyes & huff & puff when she would do it. She was being loud, but was so excited. And, what did it happen, all of 4 times? People are so rude. Her poor daughters were not allowed to see the characters while they were eating, I also didn't see her say one thing to them the whole time. I made sure I said really loud "we are in Disney, aren't we??"

We enjoyed LTT a couple of years ago. The food was fine and the character interaction was good. It is worth going to at least once :)

Happy Birthday!!! LTT is fantastic. The bread and butter that they gives is sooo delicious - best part of the meal. The servers bring you Salad, Green Beans, Mashed Potatoes, Pork, Beef and Turkey and desert - Apple Crisp with Ice cream. Seriously though, those buns and sweetened buttered are mmm mmmm good. Character interaction is great. A very comfortable atmosphere.

Be sure to let them know it's your birthday, they may do something special for you.

I've not been very impressed with the dinner, but we love the lunch! There are no characters and it is a la carte not buffet. We like to go around 11:30 on an Early Morning day. At lunch time it just seems to be less hurried. The bathrooms are terrible though! I always make sure my little ones visit the rest room and wash hands before going into LTT.

good food ,,good sized meal...good place to eat,,do it every trip 3 or 4 times..

DH and I were at LTT a couple weeks ago for free dining. The food was DELICIOUS!!!! The characters were very good about interacting with each table. We met Minnie, Chip and Dale, Goofy and Pluto. We loved it and will definately go back!

I'll be in the minority and say this was our worst dinner last week. While the service and characters were great, the food was just yuck. The rolls, butter and dessert were the best part. The meat was ham and turkey roll, the stuffing was obviously out of a box and the mashed potatoes tasted boxy too. Nothing seemed fresh or homemade. We are really not picky eaters but this meal was very disappointing to us.

That's pretty much how we felt. The salad was pretty good too and surprisingly the green beans were not overcooked. Most of the tables around us seemed to be sending back most of their green beans but were happily chowing down on the flourescent yellow mac&cheese :crazy2: . Our beef and turkey were dry but I thought the ham was okay.

I will say that the hot apple cobbler was outstanding.

We were just there on Sept 28th, the food and interaction was wonderful. Yummy Yummy the only thing we did not care for was the green beans, we are funny people about our green beans so I am sure most people like them. This is a must for next year..:hippie:

The dinner at LTT is sponsored by Stouffers. I personally like it and usually go once a trip. The character interaction is good and on my last trip there each came around twice. We were also able to watch a little boy at a nearby table get very excited to have the characters come around...it was adorable.

Anyone who has gone recently (like in the past couple of months), is the honey butter back? Oh I really hope so!

The whole meal was good and the setting was very nice. Personally, I would skip the mashed potatoes and gorge on the stuffing. Like you said, this restaurant is sponsored by Stouffers and they seem to make sure it tastes great. The gravy was very good too.

Also, as the Unofficial Guide points out, if you eat there around the time Spectromagic is going on, the elevated walkway in front of the restaurant is a great vantage point for the parage.

We ate there back in April for the first time. Initially, it was not our first choice. All I can say is, after the dinner, we have made it a point to return there whenever possible! It was GREAT. I can't actually believe I would say that about a "Thanksgiving dinner" type of meal, but it was very, very good. On top of that, the character interaction was fantastic, and the overall atmosphere, well, like I said, it's one of our favorites now! :thumbsup2

We had the honey butter at the Garden Grill back in August. It was good!

I am with those here that think dinner there is pretty bad. The characters are great and probably the only reason to go. The food? Well I guess if you like Stouffers frozen food then its ok. Lunch is great, they have always had some interesting and very good vegetarian options. Dinner....sorry yuck!

Now in a side note I am taking me nephews for the very reason that they do get to see the characters and at there ages 4 and 5 they like that kind of food.
