I'll be the lone voice of dissent here. We've eaten at Kouzzina several times, mainly for dinner but once for breakfast. We have never been disappointed. I don't as a rule eat red meat but I do love fish.
Our first visit both I and my DS had the fish stew. It was amazing and our service was great.
Second time was for breakfast. My DS and I both had the sweet potato and turkey hash which we both liked a lot. A friend had the waffle... looked yummy and he reported it was as good as it looked (and this is a kid who eats great food every day as his mom is an amazing cook).
Third time we went with friends and were a large group. None of us were disappointed. That night two of us had the fresh whole fish ... our server even deboned and fileted it for a younger member of our party. Also on the table that night were the sampler, the calamari, the stuffed grape leaf (definitely different than what I get here locally), the Greek salad, the fish as mentioned above, the the pork tenderloin, the steak, and the pastitsio which I will give you is not terribly traditional in presentation. My son decided that he wanted the lamb burger but when it arrived, the harissa made it far too spicy for him to eat. It was quickly replaced without question with the fish stew (his choice). Their sides are very good as well, and I can personally recommend the smashed potatoes and the greens. The loukoumades were yummy but the baklava also wasn't up to the level of what I can buy here locally (but was much better than the stuff they serve over in Epcot's Morocco). I don't remember much about the service except that it must have been good... more focused that visit on visiting with our friends.
We've been back one other time and by the time we went I had adopted a vegan diet... had no problem getting a fabulous meal.
I guess I don't run with the crowd. I really like Kouzzina but would rather go just about anywhere in the world than Le Cellier or Chef Mickey's. Fine with me... more room for y'all at your favorite places and more room for me at mine.
