I was just looking at the TouringPlans website, and they don't note an increase in attendance during Jersey Week in November. Has that been your experience? Or is it really a time to avoid, if at all possible? Many thanks for your help.

(I am from NJ) I have done 3 1-week trips during Jersey week, and have never had a problem with crowds.

I also spent a week in the summer before, and that was a vast difference in crowd size - give me Jersey week anytime!

You will notice a slight increase in crowds on the Wednesday-Sunday weekend, as most of the NJ schools have off the Thursday and Friday due the teachers convention - this year it is November 10-12.

That weekend is usually Super Soap weekend in MGM too - just avoid the areas where the soap stars are, and you will be fine.

I have been there twice during jersey week. Too much hipe has been made over it. I have not experienced any increase in crowds.

I agree with the above post. We went Jersey week 2003 & it really wasn't too crowded...we didn't even know what Jersey week was until we noticed that people kept asking us where in Jersey were we from?
(We are from NY)

Excellent. Thank you so much for your thoughts. I figure that week has to be better than during the spring break season!

I just booked my ressie for Nov 5 - 10. I am pleased to see that the schools in NJ are closed the 10th and 11th. I was a little worried about crowds, but hopefully it won't be an issue.

We know many people that go Jersey week and most love it... :Pinkbounc

The lower crowds, cooler temps off-set the early closures of the park (compared to the summer)....

That's because all of us from New Jersey are so lovable! :rotfl2:

(MommytoMJM: The NJEA teachers union holds its annual two-day convention in Atlantic City in early November. Many schools are off that week, so some families head to WDW. Hence, Jersey Week -- at least that's what it's called on these boards!)
