tell me about hot/cold bags

You can find them at your local grocery store. I usually find them around the frozen food section of the store. They are quite cheap. I don't think we even paid $5.00 for ours. There are also different size ones, so you might want to check several of them out and take the ones that work best for you.

how funny, I was just talking about this yesterday in another post. The bags look like a large square foil bag and say HOT & COLD on the front with HOT in red and COLD in blue. There were two size bags one small and one large and the large one costs me about $2.99 and worked perfect for my day at the parks. Since we often stay at DVC resorts I usually go to Walmart to buy food and stuff the first night we are there and these bags are usually very easy to find there in the food section.

I got (one of) mine at WalMart - since somebody mentioned that store :) right by the registers. It was $2 or $2 and change.

Does anyone know if these are allowed during our flight? My daughter has medication that has to stay cold. Since the bags are liquid, I am not sure they will make it past security. Thanks!

The bags that we are talking about are the foil insulated ones that have no liquid or gel in them. You can find them at your local grocery store or Walmart.

If you have one with liquid in it you might run into problems. It all depends upon whether the TSA agents believe that it is for the meds. I would not place anything else in there that doesn't need to be refridgerated.
