Tell me about horseback riding at Disney

When we received our info after booking our November trip they listed horseback riding as an activity. My oldest daughter (age 10) really was interested in this. I thought this would be a fun activity for her to do with her dad while I take our younger daughter (age 3) to the princess tea party. Anyone ever do this before, did you like it? What time did it take place? I assume it would be at Ft. Wilderness Campground? Thanks for your help!!
