Tell me about 'Hidden Mickeys" and how this can be a game.

So, I see hidden Mickeys are everywhere. How can you make this into an adventure or fun challenge? Is there actually some scavenger hunt listed somewhere on the internet I could print out?

I know there is a web site www.hiddenmickey.com I've never been there so I don't know what theyb have. I've even seen books on Amazon called HIdden Mickey (or some variation of)

me again... I just got back from the bookstore...I'm excited about planning our upcoming Feb 2004 trip!! I saw the book "Hidden Mickeys: A Field Guide to Walt Disney World's Best Kept Secrets" by Steven M. Barrett

It has sections for each park and the rides or areas that the HM's are located. ..they're called scavenger hunts so the list vaguely tell you where to look and then gives clues for more details..this would be greta to read aloud to the kids and give out the clues as they need. the book is tall and very slim so pretty easy to slide into a backpack pocket..9x4 inches.

Looks fun..we'll be packing it on our trip to pass time with the kiddo

Even "unofficial" hidden characters are fun, they keep the kids watching the world around them without complaint. (It's not just Mickey, there are other hidden characters, most notably a VERY LARGE hidden Donald at the Haunted Mansion.)

DS looks for hidden Mickeys everywhere, even here at home. It's cool when they stumble on an accidental Mickey (such as clouds, bushes, paint splats, etc.)

I have to say that we had an absolute blast looking for hidden Mickey's! We found them everywhere and loved to show off our knowledge to other guests! I was so proud of finding the hidden Mickey during Splash Mountain all by myself! We didn't get the book until after we got home and then even had fun finding some surprise hidden Mickey's that we had accidently caught on photo! CMs seemed to enjoy us looking and some even offered us some extra little hints and input. Take a REALLY REALLY close look at the CMs name tags to find a tiny Mickey! We played it more as a family hunt together than as teams. The book is really worth it to look at during lines and find out what you should look for on each ride, wish we had it with us when we went!
