We'll be flying them home from Seattle. This will be our 1st time flying on them and I want to make sure I do what I need to before we arrive at the airport.

Do we HAVE to check in online in advance? I'm used to Southwest where you have to either be ready at T-24 or buy EBCI.

I already selected our seats. Can we just show up at SEA, check bags & get boarding passes at the main desk?

Thanks!:goodvibes

I would suggest checking in online, even though you already have seats. Frontier has a separate line at most airports for people who are checking bags called the "bag drop", but have already checked in online. It will speed up your process at the airport.

I also like checking in online for any airline because that gets us checked in before all of the people at the airport, mainly just in case there have to be involuntary bumps, which doesn't happen very often.

Below if from their website at http://www.frontierairlines.com/plan-book/online-check-in

Online Check-in
Check-in now and save yourself some time.
For all Frontier and Frontier Express flights, you may check in online within 60 minutes to 24 hours of your departure time and save time at the airport, even if you're unable to print your boarding pass.

What you'll need:
Passenger name as it appears in your reservation
Frontier Airlines 6-letter reservation code
Checking bags?

YES. That's great. Checking in online:

Puts you in expedited service lines at the airport — simply follow the "Bag Drop" signs to designated lines at the airport where passengers who already checked-in online can check their bags. Bag Drop lines are available at all airports served by Frontier except for:

Bellingham / Vancouver Area (BLI) Jackson Hole (JAC)
Bismarck (BIS) Knoxville (TYS)
Bloomington / Normal (BMI) Little Rock (LIT)
Cedar Rapids (CID) Manistee/Ludington (MBL)
Chicago O'Hare (ORD) Palm Springs (PSP)
Cleveland (CLE) Provo (PVU)
Grand Rapids (GRR) Rhinelander (RHI)
Great Falls (GTF) Rockford (RFD)
Harrisburg (MDT) Sioux Falls (FSD)
Ironwood (IWD)
Steamboat Springs / Hayden (HDN)
Allows you to pre-pay any baggage fees. (You will still be responsible for paying any oversized and excess luggage fees at the airport. Note that some items are exempt from baggage fees such as assistive devices. We can only waive fees for these items at the airport.)

I agree with dudspizza. Checking in online is the best way to go. We've flown Frontier Airlines for years. We like them the best & prefer to book with Frontier whenever we can.

We have a connection in Denver. Do we have to wait until 24 hrs prior to the 2nd leg?

Thanks!! :goodvibes
