o.k., I admit I am nieve on this topic. I am thinking of scheduling a quick trip mid April to catch F&G and the 75 Mickey's before they leave. (Yes, I'm going in February but with too many to stop and smell the roses).

Can anyone give me some more insite on F&G. Is it limited to Epcot? Is it more than just extra topiaries? What about it is a highlight for you, etc.

TIA
Sandy

Bumping this back to page one for you so that some of our veterans can offer information about this topic.

The flowere and garden festival is at EPCOT only. The topiaries are awesome. The place smells wonderful during this time. many great picture opportunities while the plants are out. The place looks pretty bare at first the day after the festival.

The F&G festival is very nice - the most amazing part to us were the flowering bonsai trees they had near Japan - for example a bonsai style flowering cherry tree amongst others (this was in May) - DS and I enjoyed looking at all the plants especially the "mickey plants"

One year they had a Topiary Troll in Norway.

It really is a very nice time to go, the weather is warm and the plants are amazing.

I have not done this, but others rave about the tours given at EPCOT - the behind the scenes ones.

:D

Epcot is especially beautiful during this festival. Another feature of F&G is the "oldies" concerts held in the American Gardens Theater. In the past we have seen Davy Jones, Turtles, Gary Puckett & many others-at no extra charge. They already have a tentative list of performers on Pollstar (not official-but likely):

4/16-4/19: Davy Jones
4/20-4/23: the Nelsons
4/24-4/27: B.J. Thomas
4/28-5/1: Gary Puckett

It's a great time of year to go--118 days & counting!!

The topiaries are really nice. I remember the Troll in Norway and Snow White in Germany this last May. We had to pose by them of course. ;) I wish they were there year round! I think we will probably catch them again this year. And YES, there is more to it than just the topiaries-flowers galore too. Really pretty.

We loved the tropical rainforest / orchid display near Mexico. I took lots of pictures but they didn't capture the way the orchids glowed among the trees.

The flowers are gorgeous and we were fascinated by all the whimsical displays scattered around. I think we ended up spending a lot more time in Epcot than we planned because it was so breathtaking.
