I'm not sure this is the right board, but I'll give it a try.

Can anyone tell me about the food at Emeril's? My husband watches the Food TV channel and he enjoys Emeril, but not so sure he'd enjoy the food. Does it have that cajun flavor or is there a variety.

it's more american eclectic. there are definately cajun/creole influence in some dishes, but you can always be like my wife and just get a great steak.

Thanks S Mc Bean.

There must be something he could pick from that list. And like you said, Steak is always an option. I think we'll give it a try.

the menu rotates, but there's usually a ribeye and a filet on it. the food and service are outstanding, have fun.

Just tried Tchop Tchop when we stayed at RPR a few months ago, and DH would go back in a heartbeat! (This is coming from a guy who gets so relaxed at WDW that we never seem to make it over to US)

The steaks were phenomenal, the crab cake appetizer was the best ever, and DH had a combo plate with Polynesian style ribs, chicken, and several other meats.

The only down side was the cost :) :) :)

The food is average and extreamly expensive. Not worth your time or money. You cant get more and better for your money anywhere else. I was a huge fan until I ate at Emerils this time. What a joke he is.

my husband and I ate here in October and we both had the chef's menu for the day with the wine pairings - it was outstanding. Wonderful service, too.

Try the Grand Marnier Souffle for dessert... absolutely decadent!

If you have a choice, I would opt for Tchoup Chop instead of Emeril's in City Walk. We spent 15 minutes looking at the menu... trying hard to find something that sounded appetizing... and I WANTED to do the Degustation Menu with wine pairing. There were too many items on it that did not sound appealing. (I am not a calamari/duck pate fan.) We ended up with the steaks, which were not prepared correctly. My rare steak was medium at best... We had so-so service and in the end felt it was money wasted. I have never felt this way about Tchoup Chop and spend $100 plus without ever looking back!
