I am just strating to plan our trip for 2006. For the first time we are planning early March instead of early Feb. The "season" go from value to peak so I know the rates are higher. But how will the crowds and weather be. We are use to iffy weather but have very few crowd issues. I just don't want to be disappointed with our time choice. :confused3

We went first week of march 2001. That week was very weather iffy. The day we arrived, it was hot and the next morning it was 50's and stayed that way rest of week......and it rained alot. Since you can deal with that, no problem. Crowds back then was light too. We did not enjoy our vacation since we cannot deal with cold weather AND rain. Made the trip miserable.

Two years ago we were in WDW the last 3 days of February into the first 3 days of March. The first 4 days were a little chilly (in the mornings & after dark), but nice. On day 5 a front came through and the temps went into the low 90's very hot. The kids enjoyed swimming! :cool1: The crowds were not too bad. We are also going back next year for the last week Feb. into first week of March. Just wanted to let you know that it is Mardi Gras week so the crowds may be a little more than you are used to. Mardi Gras falls on Tuesday, February 28, 2006. The kids will be out of school 2/27 - 3/3 returning to school on March 6. Lots of us Louisiana folks head down to Disney during this week. Can't Wait. Have fun. :earboy2:

I was also there the first week in March of 2001, and I remember that nasty weather. I'm going again this year, leaving in 2 days.. looks like the weather is supposed to be better than last time, but you can never tell this time of year. I had a miserable time in '01 only b/c I was with a boyfriend who became an ex boyfriend a few days after we came home! But this time I'll be with my DH and friends so I'm sure I'll have a blast!
