Our family is returning for our 2nd trip to WDW in Sept. We stayed at Pop last year and was pleased but want to upgrade to the moderate. I'm leaning toward CSR but want some help from all you pros out there.

Also, does a waterview room give you a better location to El Centro and the dig site?

Thanks!

In my view the CSR will have some of the same cons that POP did. The resort is very spread out. The resort is set up like a motel, the door to your room will open to an outside walkway.

Pros the Pepper Market offers a higher quality of food then the regular food courts do IMHO. The main pool area is cool. You can rent water craft as the different areas of CSR surround a lake. There is a health club and broadband/dsl internet access.

If the choice is between POP and CSR go for CSR.

CSR is the newest of the moderates and feels the most like a deluxe. It has more amenities (salon, health club, etc.) and the best pool of all the moderates. It has a really wonderful food court as well as the Maya Grill, a full service restaurant. Because the hotel can accomodate conventions, the pool is almost deserted in the daytime, and the busses to the parks are never crowded. I think it's a great choice, and it's where were stay on our next trip in Oct!

We stayed there in March of 2003 and I really loved it. As a matter of fact, I am seriously considering staying there this summer, but I also really want to sample all of the resorts. Anyway, I think it is great. It is spread out, but we were in Ranchos 7A which is as far as you can get from ElCentro which is the main building with the food court etc., and I found I could walk there in 3 or 4 minutes no problem. I can never figure out how this is such a big deal to people. I never here people complaining about how far it is in deluxes, but I know it took me almost that long to walk to the Mara food court at AKL, so I don't see what the differece is.As others have said, the resort feels deluxe to me, the only difference is rooms open to the outside instead of hallways, but that didn't bother me at all. as it will answer all of your questions I'm sure.
