What do you get for staying "club level"? For those who have done this, was it worthwhile? Thanks for any info!

Club Level Amenities
  • Advance Walt Disney World Itinerary Planning service
  • Individualized Front Desk and Concierge service
  • Evening Turndown Service with chocolates
  • Exclusive access to Club Level lounge
  • Complimentary fax assistance
  • Secured key access to the club-level lounge, serving refreshments from 7:00 AM ET to 10:00 PM ET daily

Worth it once if you can get it, only 5 to 10 possible rooms, you can't request a view, very difficult to book with some owners walking their reservation.

We don't own at AK, but wanted to try this for a few nights at the end of our stay Dec 2017. Was thinking of renting from an AK owner to get those days. Since you mentioned owners walking reservations, it's making me question if I would even be able to get those days.

Any owners with experience being able to rent Club Level?

We had it for 2 nights recently. Glad we did it once to experience it. Probably won't do it again just because it is so many points compared to the regular villas. Some people stay there to get access to the safaris. If you are looking to book one of those, then it's definitely worth it. We didn't go to the parks last trip so we stayed at Jambo the majority of those two days and were able to utilize the lounge. But if we had been in the parks all day/night it certainly would not have been worth it.

Oh, you get daily morning maid service as well, which we didn't like because we prefer to not have to worry about tidying up every morning.

There are no longer any safaris that are exclusive to club level guests.

I wouldn't go through the work of walking a reservation for a renter, too much work. There are several posts of AKV owners not being able to get a reservation there, all depends on the time of year and luck.

It's tough, and as Bill said, depends on the time of year, but mostly depends if you are willing to take a one bedroom. They are easier to get, but still need to be booked around or at 11 months.

We have stayed at the AK club level every year for the past four years in March. We bought additional AK points just to get the club once a year. MY experience has been that it must be booked 11 months out. Also we always get a one bedroom and have had always a view. We stay for 3 or 4 days. And we just enjoy the resort because we don't go to the parks while there. I like the breakfast and the drinks and appetizers at 5. A lot of people seem to make the happy hour selections their dinner. Also for us it is close to our two favorite restaurants, Jiko and Sanaa.

I would think Dec would be really hard to get the club and the owners getting it are likely walking their reservations so it would be doubtful to rent points for this unless an owner is purposely walking and making a reservation in order to rent out the reservation for a higher premium (not just the points).

When we stayed, we booked just over 10mths out but it was for April and the 2 nights we stayed were the only available. Could have been a recent cancellation for all i know.

Good to know. We''ll likely try to see if we can rent off an owner 2-3 nights, but won't be a problem if we can't.

I am enjoying CL right now! Because 6th level is being renovated, we were given Savannah view on 5th floor, and the lounge area is on the 4th floor. We have only been "charged the points for savannah view!"

The CL service has been excellent! We've entered the lounge and had a CM offer to get us wine while we picked out the appetizer type offerings last night. The offerings on Sunday were different than those on Saturday, and we each found multiple things we liked.

Our room was ready on Saturday at 10AM, cannot count on that, but it was so nice. We had tickets to Beautiful, the Carole King musical in downtown Orlando, and while we ate breakfast, the CM printed the direction to the Dr Phillips Center. The center is elegant, and the show was excellent!

The Savannah view we are enjoying is excellent! A baby giraffe has recently been born and Gigi often wanders past. She's just one of 4-5 giraffes on the savannah. Lots of other types of animals abound! Now, usually we would be on the 6th floor, so not all concierge rooms are savannah view.

The lounge on the 4th floor actually has a Savannah view, unlike the regular lounge on the 6th floor. So this experience is actually better than usual, IMO.

This is a 2 night stay for us, we will head for Hilton Head after this.

BCV with my friends, AKV CL with my DH for Mother's Day and now HHI. This was a fun to plan, DVC vacation that has lived up to my dreams!

Thank you for visiting our gorgeous new Performing Arts Center. As you may have noticed, the main theater is named the Walt Disney Theater due to a large financial contribution Disney made towards the construction of the center.

We saw the show last night and I agree it was an excellent production.

Yes, we did notice the Walt Disney name!

Our seats were comfortable with enough legroom for us. Something we do not often experience! We are 6'2"&5'10"!

We check into a 1 BR club level on June 1. Does anybody have any idea when they will have the 6th floor renovations complete?

We knew well in advance that we would be on the 5 th floor. If you have not heard that, I guess you will be on the 6 th.

Thank you! Either way, it sounds like it will be great! The baby giraffe sounds like it will be a lot of fun to watch. We've stayed club level three times, I believe. And we have always gotten the exact same room----view of the pool. If the renovations are still going on, maybe we'll get a savannah view. But, like you said, since we haven't heard anything it will probably be finished by then.

Enjoy HHI!

What kind of room is the lounge in at the moment? Is it like a conference room?

When we were there, there was not a single room, but a series of rooms.
