When and where do I buy tickets? How much? Is it worth it? Who is the special guest? What all goes on?

Nothing official has been posted yet, except the dates. They typically announce the celebrity narrator and dinner packages near the end of October.

In order to get a seat you have to purchase a dinner package, these are typically offered to AP holders first, and sell out before they can be offered to the general public.

So does this mean I am toast, since I am unwilling to pay for the dinner package? Isn't there somewhere to watch the processional that isn't a ticketed seat? And if there is, how soon do I have to stake out my spot?

We went two years ago on the day of the Processional and it was insane busy. I have been going to Disneyland regulary since I was 4 and I can not remember any time when the park was busier.

I've gone for the last three years and I have yet to pay for a dinner package. Last year, there were two processionals shows in one night. They had a waiting line that was on the right hand side of Main Street next to the Emporium. I wasn't one of the first to wait, but those who were first got to sit in an extra row of chairs (not sure if it'll happen this year). After those seats were taken up, we were allowed to line up in reserved roped off sections behind the seats. The area right behind the chairs filled up quickly, since this was where you got a semi decent view of the event. I watched the second showing, so I showed up in between the first one, and as it was getting out, and got into the waiting queue.

Here's a picture of my view after a looooong wait standing. The speaker's platform is on the train station platform obscured by tree on the right. Not the best view, but was pretty good.

So what are the dates? Where is the dinner and does anyone know the cost?

The dates are December 6 and 7. There will be 2 shows each night. The dinners are served at the resort hotels (Storyteller's, Hooke's Point, etc). It is a pre fixe menu (I know I spelled that wrong) but we won't know the prices unitl they are released. I want to say they were between $50-$75 per person last year, depending on where you choose to eat.

Were the lines for the attractions really long, or was Main Street just very, very crowded? Part of my December trip falls over that weekend, and I'm kind of worried :scared:
